Author Topic: Downloading Adultwork movie clips.... advice/help please  (Read 9298 times)

Something I've occasionally done with no probs in the past. Using Chrome on a PC I'd just click the movie link and a sort of downloading popup would appear down bottom left of my screen near task bar/start button. Once downloaded I could click it and view the movie which was saved in a generic folder called "downloads" or something. Easy peasy!
BUT..... Just tried it for first time for several months and it doesn't download - it just opens up in some sort of player embedded in Adultwork to view. No obvious method or mechanism to save it.
I have no idea if something has changed or updated on my PC in the interim so does anyone know where I'm  going wrong or advise how they currently manage to save a purchased AW movie clip.
Cheers.

It will depend on the format of the video and how your browser is configured to play them - plus AW may have changed a few things. There are programs that work with browsers to allow download video from most sites - although not guarenteed to work with them all. I use Internet Download Manager (IDM) which works most of the time on sites like AW, Xhamster, etc.

Tried Firefox. Made sod all difference... fiddled with a Firefox extension called pocket too but that did eff all as well. My feeling is that AW have changed something.
Bit crap, can't see point in paying a few quid if you can't "re-enjoy" your purchase again and again..... think they've shot themselves in foot and will lose revenue if they prevent video clips from being saved.
Cheers for replies though chaps.

I agree on this one. If I paid for something I own it. If I rent something then I don't.Video galleries should be ours to own.

The same could be said of the personal galleries, you only have 24hrs for those, so why should it be different for a video.

It's pretty easy get round the lack of "right click" to save their pictures. My basic point is that something has changed in last month or two and movies look to be very difficult, if not impossible to save whereas previously they just downloaded and saved simply by clicking them.

I have a program, Replay Media Manager, it rips video and audio from the internet, I've used it to save all manner of files, including audio from Spotify and obviously videos from AW. Years ago I used it on camming sites, and if the girl went into "group chat" where anybody could join in the screen greyed out but RMM would continue recording, which was fun, but every so often it was somehow prevented from downloading the files from certain sites as I'm guessing the site owners got wise, then there'd be an update for the program and it would work again. You obviously have to pay to watch some videos but it would save it for you to watch again, I don't buy many videos off AW but the last time I tried to use the program to rip the media it didn't work so something has changed on there, I understand the need for maintaining the income stream and also to so extent the integrity of the girl, they don't want the videos appearing on porn sites, but I do think you should be able to keep the videos for your own use once you've paid for it.

Some clips which have failed on a PC can be saved on an Android tablet/phone, as soon as you click it automatically downloads to the default downloads folder. Failing that adultwork will email you the downloadable clip or refund your credits if you ask immediately, I think there is a 6 hour time limit.

I playback movies & TV shows I've downloaded with VLC, never knew it could record video clips off Adultwork. Want to break it down for me briefly Simon ?  :hi:

Is there anyway to watch the movies from an iPhone?

I've noticed AW has reinstated the save facility on movies. It loads up an "unsaveable" version initially but underneath the viewing pane it says something like:
"This is a beta process for viewing that may not work in some circumstances. To use the old method of viewing please click here".
When you click that, the video loads in a new page and can be saved by simple right-click.

Failing that, there is a firefox extension called "Video Dowlonadhelper" , it manages to rip from loads of the porn sites that changed the way they operate recently, including youtube, which has also changed the way the data arrives

I view mine in Chrome/Windows10. I find if you play the video a second time or more, within your 15 mins, then if you right click,   the "save video as" facility is available and works. Strange but it seems not to work on first viewing.

Just a bit of info on the subject...

As of October 2018 - the software "Icecream Screen Recorder" will record and save Adultwork videos.

It's not free but not ridiculously expensive either.

Better than repeatedly paying for the same video clip/movie.

Just thought this might be of use to someone.
