Indeed.  If you're a Mandarin speaker you have better odds but probably better if you're ethnic Chinese also.  Even Cantonese may not do much for you.
There are almost certainly young, fit Chinese SPs squirrelled away over here somewhere but perhaps it's a bit like Fight Club...  Any Mandarin speakers pls do shed some light.

to me that looks like a scam site ripping off agency profiles. Most of the listings show as "on holiday" so may well be out of date anyway.

I really wanted to keep the list to real profile sites, avoiding the mostly London-centric agency collections which just feed off each other

My first ever punt was from that site.  I don't think the woman was advertising anywhere else, but I was green at the time.  I had some fun with another lass from there long ago above a carpet shop off Upper Street in Islington, too.  A game girl, my first anal and second fisting.

As far as I'm aware they're not ripping off profiles. You need to pay to be shown on there.

Offline latecomer

It's going back a long time now, perhaps even as far as when most adverts we looked at were in printed newspapers, but I'm sure I remember seeing an acemessage advert for a place in Slough.  As far as I recall it was a decent punt and it certainly wasn't a scam.

The on holiday thing happened after lockdown which is a good thing I guess. Havent used it for a while but it was always reliable in the past (tho most pics were b&s)

Utter nonsense.

Ace has been running for longer than any of the others, except, maybe, punterlink.

It was started by the people who ran the flats next to Vivienne Westwood's punk clothes shop at Moravian Corner. The flats were one of the front runner places, for Oriental girls. Had many a very happy hour there, with quality of girls that aren't around these days. Very lovely EEs and South Americans, too, on occasion. They started out advertising in the local papers (especially the Kensington News and Post and its sister papers for Chelsea, Hammersmith, Fulham and Westminster) and Loot, What's On in London and the like. Ace Massage was what they often posted ads as, in the 'Massage' sections of the press. Then came the internet so they started up the on-line advertising site and kept the name.

It's not a scam site and I met dozens of advertisers over the years. The agencies have always advertised there and pay for it, as do indies. They were the main, reliable, source before Craigslist, Gumtree, Vivastreet, Backpages and the like turned up. They were the first to use verification, of photos, too.

As for the 'On Holidays'? What do you expect when most of the industry  IS on holiday?

Going back to probably the 60's/early 70's, Ace Massage was then an actual sauna at Worlds End on Kings Road. Today it still carries the ethos of local paper and news agents wind ads.

Offline Baxter63

The sauna had nothing to do with the flats, oddly enough. The sauna was about 300 yards or so, from the building the flats/rooms were in, so people always thought that the sauna had set up the brothels. There again, I never started punting untll the mid 1990s, so there might have been an earlier connection, given that it was London criminals that ran the London sex and sauna trades, in those earlier days - contracted out to the care of 'the Maltese'.

I knew the last owner of the sauna very well and she was still there right through the 1980s, into the late 1980s, maybe early 90s. I was with a partner in those days so always refused Ellie's 'suggestions'. I did have a few haircuts there, though, when she got a barber in to try to give it a bit more 'air of respectability' for the licensing people. Had some great looking girls, in short white coats and black stockings, though. With gap on show, as the coats were never long enough.  Always some top buttons missing on the coats, too, for some reason. As the licensing bods were all male, in those days, the licence just got nodded through. It was the only sauna, of the type, in Kensington & Chelsea Borough and nobody ever tried to close it down. In the end it was cost that closed it and a drift away from that type of place.

It's good to see that the  website still, as you say - "carries the ethos of local paper and news agents wind ads."  As my London/SE regulars have fled to China and unlikely to return, I might well be turning to Ace again. I bump into one advertiser - an original - when she's out and about, in her 1960s Mod gear - Japanese KoKo. All pvc and Carnaby Street. Like a Japanese Jean Shrimpton.

I have noticed on vivastreet that some adverts are now showing dislikes and likes a bit like AW.  Has anyone noticed this anywhere else. The high end escort sites have had them for a while though they all seem to copy the AW terminology - CIM, snowballing  etc

examples - neither of these was actually Japanese as they couldn't answer a simple question?

Vivastreet used to have a services list years ago then dumped it. They reinstated it earlier this year I think. Plenty of escort sites include some kind of services list. Not sure why you thing they are copying adultwork or why you're still calling it the "purple" site. :unknown:

Don’t know if this is the correct thread, but bought some AW credit couple weeks back. Watched a WG on Webcam for 3 mins.

Hours later card used was had unauthorised charge for £82 on dodgy international website.

Hours later card cloned again and unauthorised charge of £102 on a different dodgy website.

Could be AW?, could be the WG?! she was acting a lil shifty on cam in hindsight.

No, but if your card company let two unusual  transactions through without checking with you then you need a better card company. If it's online fraud then the police need to know about it, they have specialist teams who deal with it.

Your issue is with AW's payment processor and you should also check with your issuers Fraud team.  Failing any satisfactory response from processor you may need to escalate with your issuer and contact the Police, your issuer should be able to advise.

Get a virtual credit card. Providers like Curve and Revolut have them. Generate a one-time use virtual card, turn cards on and off and set limits and control how they may be debited.

Apologies if confusion, it was the card issuer who highlighted the transaction, blocked them etc.

They also said they’d conduct independent investigations.

Reason of my post was they blamed the Awork.co.uk transaction for the fraud, and categorised the cloned charges with the Awork.co.uk charge too.

Beware dodgy AW.

We don't get to see any card details, which is why you went through the AW credits system. It's completely against AW ToS to take payment on AW using anything but credits.

Unless of course you actually gave the lady your card details. Which I doubt.

Didn’t realise it was that complicated folks:

The card was used only recently for AW (AdultWork). AKA Awork.co.uk, as it appears on your statement.

That same day, the card was cloned for two overseas transactions.

The bank blocked the transactions and advised it was due to a earlier transaction made on Awork.co.uk.

Simples

Clearly AW is insecure. My scepticism came because the WG who’s webcam room I joined, is clearly a bit dodgy anyway. Her associates could be involved in Fraud, or ‘deets’ as they call it in London.

Just be careful. I won’t ever buy AW credits again.

"The card was used only recently for AW (AdultWork). AKA Awork.co.uk, as it appears on your statement."

As it has been said before for webcam viewing all you can do directly with Adultwork and have a statement entry of Awork.co.uk is buy credits

If he is correct he is reporting a very serious issue and one every punter on this site should know about. I'm still not sure that is the case but given the nature of the issue it does need clarified and either confirmed or proven to be false

Well you don’t really know that for a fact. AW is a pretty cheap shitty website. Somebody with a college qualification in coding could pretty easily hack the backend so that your IP address is shown when you click a page (I.e enter webcam room) and then a link is made to your AW account including any information used/entered.

Pretty easy actually. Plus, people are at home and very desperate now.

For some of us it wasn’t so much that we “discovered” the internet in our 30’s but simply a matter of that’s when it was invented and became a ‘thing’. So maybe we know as much or even more, than younger members. I started my computer education by programming the mainframe at uni with cards: you used a pencil to colour in the boxes the computer was to read and take instruction from.

So please don’t be so patronising to us oldies including those who “discovered the internet” in their 30s/40s “or God forbid even later” since many of us will know more than you, and regardless of what we know, you’ll piss off a large section of the membership.
