Has it ever happened to you guys?

I was on my way to a punt, knew the place from before. Bare in mind the entry of the girl's flat is right across other blocks of flats. So I get out of my car and I saw policemen standing on a terrace overlooking the property i was supposed to go in. Safe to say I fucked out of there ASAP.

You honestly think there was a copper standing there in full view just catch out a punter visiting a prostitute?

I'd say highly unlikely and this is paranoia taking over.

They were wearing police uniforms standing on the terrace. For what other reason would they be there lol

just out of interest what do you think they could do?

What laws do you think they would  see being broken?

100s of other reasons fro them to be there, try some of these

Note visiting an escort is not on the list !

So if they were they would be wasting police time !

Maybe read the Wiki or do your homework !

Maybe he'd just visited the same girl you were going to see, and he was heading back to the station.

Most likely. ;)

If the girl was by herself in the flat (and obviously of legal age) she was committing no offence. And neither were you. So you could have potentially walked over to that policeman and said. "I am just see to see LuciousScarlett" and he would have said "good luck" or even "what you tellin me for".

In terms of the issue of the topic. It has happened to me when people were starting and it freaks you out. But I had just been punting for two months at the time and was quite paranoid about it all. Now that I am more experienced on it. And know all the laws. I have never noticed anyone stare at me since. (so I am suggesting it was possibly just either paranoia, or as I was new and nervous I was maybe acting shifty looking and drawing attention to myself).

Here is that topic from the time if you are curious.

I agree with AnthG - but even if the girl was not in the flat by herself, i.e. operating a brothel, which is illegal, you still wouldn't be breaking the law (unless the girl was underage/being trafficked/coerced), as it is only illegal to operate a brothel, not to visit one.

So, freshcakes007, nothing to worry about.

I was once in bed with two ladies starkers and the police burst in. I was not breaking the law and looking back it was also on the funny side but at the time it was scary. It was a 'bunk-up night' which is what Cynthia Payne called it when she had ladies from out of town come up for a party the next day and invited some clients to turn up for some fun.

So that copper could have been looking for a brothel, for drugs, for trafficked ladies. Better to bugger off than get buggered by him.

Perhaps it was two blokes looking for the fancy dress party  :P

Or disgruntled neighbours dressed as policemen to frighten off timid punters.

Technically I suppose having a threesome is illegal (for the WG's, not the punter), because that address legally becomes a "brothel" with 2 WG's working in it!  But the police would have to be in a really bad mood to use that rule to break up a one-off punt.

In Walsall the local police use unmarked cars and watch the local red light district, but that's for kerbcrawlers and Street girls, and drugs, they don't take an interest in private properties, unless drugs are involved, maybe they were there for a different reason, most times in Walsall they use plain clothes , as uniforms give the game away :hi:

Offline G.Raff

It could be he was watching the premises rather than trying to catch punters. Punting is not illegal per se.

This has happened to me.
Some years ago, I headed for a parlour that I had been to a couple of times before. They were never the most discreet place - the guys in the garage next door definitely knew what was going on.
I saw a police van parked in the car park of the golf club opposite - so I kept going. Tried again a few days later - police van there again. I figured that there was a good chance that they were getting ready to raid the place, so I gave it a miss.
A short time later, they were raided and shut down. Even if I wouldn't have been subject to any criminal proceedings, I would prefer to avoid the drama etc of a raid.

Also you don't want the hassle of having to give a statement to the police and having to appear in court as a witness.

If the WG is over 18, she's not being trafficked, you're not kerb crawling in the street, and you're not caught snorting cocaine out of her arse then the cops have nothing to charge you for.

Tbh I punt in Soho with police crawling everywhere searching people for drugs or looking out for terrorists. I just take no notice and get on with my business.

Absolutely - it's hard to find many upsides to being involved :)
