Yes I remember phoenix magazine in my very early punting days. I want to say that it was published somewhere in Nottingham. There was a couple of those types of magazines I would get. Again, I want to say that one didn’t have phone numbers, just adverts with PO Box numbers.

Then there was the Nottingham Evening Post which had a classified section for massage and parlours. There were tons of small massage parlours in and around Nottingham during the late 80s and throughout the 90s.

There was a phone box just outside my old work in Nottingham and I used to spend a lot of my time in that phone box with a load of 10 pence pieces and the evening post. Then there was the Sport and latterly the Ad-Mag. It was all analogue back in those days. In some ways it was more fun and it felt more like an adventure, a trip into the unknown.

I think nowadays it has become a bit more structured and sophisticated what with Adultwork and forums like this. Back in the old days it was a bit more like the Wild West and you didn’t have the benefit of forums like this. I probably wasted loads of money during those years on rubbish punts.

Yes I remember Phoenix contact magazine which had a West Midlands version covering the Birmingham and Coventry area, black and white photos in the adverts of service providers.
