I cannot access emails, private messages unless reported and I cannot do name changes either. It is set up that I do not need to see ip addresses to do what I need to do either. A lot of this has already been covered on the other site.
I am clarifying with admin over on UKE to try and find out what the protocol is for people contacting us who cannot get onto UKE so that there is a point of contact for them that is off UKP and also gives posters on here a way to signpost others if so inclined. I imagine that on both sites there will be these enquiries until things settle down in a couple of weeks.
I have been a member on here for a few years now and quite a few members on here will also have been on the other site and will have been aware I was made a moderator over there. I am not the first SP moderator on there either, I have just come on board with the new administration.
I would say that although on here I have disputed things in an occasional review and I have always been very open about the fact I read my own reviews, this has been common open knowledge for over two years. I was never banned or broke any terms and conditions under the old admin and I have checked with new admin and as long as I keep within the rules, like I have done before, it is okay for me to remain here as a member of UKPunting.
I appreciate the concern, but it is over the preconception about SP's generally in the main, rather than how I have conducted myself as a poster. The only thing that anyone can personally have a concern about is that I have in the past clarified or responded to information given about me, which isn't actually against the rules as at the time of posting SPs had right of reply as long as it was polite and factual and I do not believe on either site I have ever displayed an overall anti-client attitude. I prefer to take people as individuals, which ever side of the transaction they fall on, there is always good and bad on both sides.
Anyways, I would like to continue being here as an individual member, I am not on here in any kind of official capacity and I am surprised that suspicion has arisen from my offer to help a fellow forum member.
I am not surprised, UKP is a punters forum and WGs in my view should never have any involvement even signposting if its an official arrangement, though that is up to Head1 obviously. The 2 sites are now separate, I assume that's how the owners want things, so assuming that's correct things don't need changing in my book. I don't see it as some big problem that a poster cant access one or the other site, and its not for the other to support them on how to do so over posting go on post on the other site, if they cant join bad luck.
Some of us know the history of female mods elsewhere which is a reason NIK founded UKP. Though the irony is the worst mods on that site were male, 1 was a pimps doorman who literally hated all punters, and the other went power crazed. On UKE there aren't reviews so I have no problem with a female mod but then UKE isn't just a punters forums, its a punters and WGs forum as you know. If it were up to me which it clearly isn't there would be no WGs allowed to openly post on here, of course some would still join posing as punters. Punters cant join SAAFE openly and that's a WGs forum.
