Author Topic: An improvement to Adultwork?  (Read 1348 times)

Hi All,

I have been doing some thinking about WGs who do not see guys of a particular race, and the arguments that frequently pop up on here because of it, and I wonder whether a way get around all of this is to have 'interracial' as an option for the likes list?

I am sure I am not the only one who has been frustrated at looking at promising profiles to find 'Sorry I do not see Africians (there's always a typo)' written down in a way that does come across as quite rude.

Instead, a WG on adultwork could just put 'interracial' on their list of likes/dislikes meaning that punters of colour can put that criteria in their searches and avoid disappointment.

Thoughts?

Doesn't help with black prossies who don't want to see black men though, of which there are many.

Think there a lot of ways to improve AW.

Till someone comes up with an option that's all we have.

they tick boxes randomly on their profiles it seems, anyway. And theyd put at discretion meaning no answer to anything I imagine. Do alot of WGs turn down minorities?

If A/W gave a toss they would of already done something like this, they havent as it makes no odds to them. ALL they care about is to keep the money rolling in, not helping punters or in this case the feelings of some punters.

Just call the girl up and ask her if she sees black clients or not. I notice some girls state 'bad experience' for reasons for not seeing black clients. I have always wanted to ask a girl "if a white male gave you trouble would you stop seeing all white men?" I'm sure the answer is no though.

It wouldnt be a good idea having an interracial option seeing as many girls don't even write their own profiles it probs wouldn't make much of a difference.

If its an issue for you I'd call the girl and ask up front.

Adultwork can't cover every possible scenario, as long as the girl states clearly that she doesn't see black guys, asian guys or whatever then I don't see a problem.  :unknown:

I suspect there aren't enough punters who are black to have this option appear on the mainstream punting tool that AW professes to be. Punting in the UK is primarily a white mans folly wouldn't you say?

You could, but undoubtedly there would be a lot of WGs who would select the option just to make sure they're showing up in more punter's searches.
Some WGs also pick and choose their ethnic minority clients based on the impression they get of them when booking.

Personally I don't see many non-white guys and I mulled over putting this on my profile for a while because I just think it's impolite and does come across badly, however it's a difficult position to be in... my body, my rules. I think so long as it is stated politely (and why does anyone have to give their reason?), it's fine. Rather than saying who I don't want to see, I say who I prefer to see.

Also you would need to make an option for every typical different UK race, and then a sub category for British born, lol... and for equality's sake you'd end up needing to specify whether you were white and British or white and European, etc.

I've never actually gone looking for threads on this subject but from the OP's initial post I assume its a bit of a contentious issue?

Personally I have no problems with a WG stating who she won't see and I don't feel the need for a reason why either. I just put it down to a matter of personal preference.

I for example don't see women more than a couple of years older than myself (exception being made on Wednesday though) nor do I see black WG's. Tried it once, really nice, attractive, friendly girl but sexually didn't do it for me so I shan't go back for a second try.

The only time I take objection is when their particularly rude about it or outright racist over the matter.

Afraid I couldn't see an "interracial" tab being effective though, it would have to be specifically tailored to suit particular race options i.e. African, Arabic, European... Way to many variables involved. Much easier for the WG to just politely decline to see certain groups that she does not enjoy the company of.... A "no chavs" tab on the other hand would work a treat  ;)

What if your Michael Jackson, and your skin colour has changed from black to white, and you don't tell the escort until the very end...I have a skin condition, I used to be black

Now I have seen someone locally to me, who has this condition, and they are indeed becoming white
