Author Topic: Are image searches becoming less reliable?  (Read 751 times)

Over the last year or 2 I've not been having as many hits as I used to with image searches and wondered if anyone else has thought the same? Some searches are blatantly obvious that they should return some hits and I've even tried it on images I quickly pulled off the internet with no results.

I'm wondering why this could be, are websites able to block such searches, is Sergie becoming clued up on using fake pics, is it a browser issue or is it that the image search software is not keeping up to date with other internet related technology?

I would agree that searches aren't coming up with as many results as they used to. Sometimes when I know of an image being used on two websites word comes back that there is no match when I try a search. I have no idea why this should be so.

Its due to Sergeis becoming more selective as to where the photos come from.
A lot are now getting ripped  from the likes of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter - none of which are indexed by the major search engines.
Also more photos are now coming from porn sites that are behind paywalls e.g. Met-Art and its affiliates.
Finally a lot of European paid-sex sites seem to be blocking the bots from Indexing: for instance I've not had a search return an image hit from Ro24 in a year, and a lot of Vivastreet photos come from there

Your best bet now OP if you can't seem to find any hits for a profile is to check her price structure with what she looks like, if it seems to good to be true then it probably not true..eg you see an attractive girl with pictures professionally done with looks that would match a "social influencer" on instagram charging £60 for 30mins and happens to type fluent english on the profile; then odds are that is a bait and switch. I notice oriental escorts ads on Vivastreet are notorious for using B&S pics when I used to reverse search them . Some South American Sergeis have started to use instagrams to rip pics and then blur particular parts of the image so you can't get a hit.

Compare the profile in question with other WGs that may look on the same "level" as her in terms of price structure, normally most WGs I have seen on AW that lookswise could be deemed attractive charge around similar price ranges,  check the area they are based as well. I have not seen an extremely attractive WG that speaks fluent english in an area that is not upscale like say central london. All in all these factors can help you in trying to deduce the likelihood of the profile being genuine when you are not getting any hits from image searches.

Thanks for the replies, they confirmed a couple of my suspicions laid out in my post.

No problem with that, I'm under no illusion as to the many fake profiles out there, been in the game a long time now, shame the odd 1 or 2 gems may pass by as a result ;) My thread was purely about the unreliability of image searches of late.

Quite a few photos on AW just recently have been reverse flipped to fool the likes of Google image search and Yandex.

These fakers are getting more and more sneaky by the day.

I've found Yandex far better at detection than Google is.

That's my experience as well.  :hi: :hi:

Relying on a single Image search engine is foolish, they all have their strengths and weaknesses as well as geographic dependencies.
Next time you run an image search and you get hits, it would be worth noting here which engine does best against the nationality of the person in the pic or the hosting site that returned the hit.  We could then better understand if any one engine is more universal or they have their localities.

Simple image flipping isn't too hard to undo and overcome.

Usage of additive or destructive filters, crops and blurs are more effective stymies.

I agree.
I have found that this is likely down to cropping, watermarking it slight alteration on the colouring of photos sometimes which is crap really as it should be picked up.

I tried it myself to confirm, I changed a picture from colour to black and white that I found on google then did a GRIS and it didn’t come up. If it’s been cropped or flipped it’s likely to happen also, although sometimes it can still be found.

How long did you wait after posting before searching?

Different times.
Some I searched straight away others I left and admittedly forgot about until I looked through my gallery and then I searched.

Still nothing came up.

I do wonder how long it will be until the fake accounts start using something like this:

External Link/Members Only

Refresh the page.  Every time it generates a totally unique face (generated by a neural network based on millions of photos)

I have seen similar algorithms to do fake nudes too.

Get to fuck is this real? Every photo looks like a real person.  :scare:

And it's instant with different backgrounds, Genuinely blown my mind that one.

The components are from other photos, literally millions of them ( i think they just scoured google images, or picasa, or something), and they have all been sampled into a huge neural network that recombines the elements (nose, eyes, mouth, etc) into new photos using some clever image stiching and colour correction.  If you refresh it enough you can sometimes see similar features here and there, but thats easily fixed by using a larger database of source material.  Even so its scarily realistic.

Like i said there is also one that can take a non-nude, and make it nude (called deep nude, but there are others) but its nowhere near as good.  You have to get the exact right combination of elements before its believable but its only a matter of time.

But those combined with the full motion deep fake technology ( External Link/Members Only ) you are going to find it near impossible to believe anything you see online, or on TV, in the near future.
