Ok folks.  Sorry for the (sort of) double post.  Work sending me to London in the near future and my initial post stated I planned to stay in Southwark.  Now I am thinking I might be better served staying closer to the centre and then travelling to the job in the morning as it is just east of Southwark (my knowledge of London layout is sketchy at best).  Would be really grateful if anyone could suggest good areas to look for hotels or locations for private hire which will strike a balance for getting to work in the morning and also being close to decent punts (and also things like places to eat etc!!)

Thanks in advance people.

Hmmm....not sure I could stretch that far.  Company expenses might raise an eyebrow or two!  I'm tempted by AirBnB for more privacy TBH.  However, I am not good at judging where in general to aim for so that I can still have an alright commute towards the Southwark area.

This is borderline off topic.  Anyway, Southwark is a very large borough.  Must be 300 hotels in the borough, and 3000 escorts working in it. Beyond that,  if work is the north part of Southwark, you could stay almost anywhere in Central London and have an OK commute.

Thanks for the advice. Was a bit apprehensive about being off topic. If an admin wants to move it to somewhere else that is fine. Just don't want to wind up in an area where I have no easy punting options and nothing else to do in the evenings with a steady commute.
