Photos with face obscured

Is it just me or does everyone find that when the face is obscured in a photo, your mind paints in a more attractive face than the one you actually see when the door opens? Or at least a more classically beautiful one?

Even though I always try to mentally step down the beauty, there is usually a disconnect between real life and what I imagine I am seeing in the photo...

It isn't always a disappointment especially once the fun starts, because I often find that classically beautiful isn't really what floats my boat after all; attitude and enthusiasm trump that any day.

I find obscured face pics incredibly annoying. I appreciate that some girls have concerns about friends, acquaintances or even relatives, stumbling across their profile and finding out what they do for a living and that it is their prerogative to hide their face if they wish. However using this logic of no face pics, what would be to stop one of these said people actually turning up at their abode for an actual booking ? Surely a far more embarrassing outcome for all concerned !

From my own perspective, the face is the most important thing looks wise for me, it doesn't matter how hot a body she has, without seeing a face pic, I just won't know whether she will float my boat or just not be my cup of tea, or worse, have a face like a rat's arse  . The furthest I would go would be to hotlist her, in the hope she adds face pics, which rarely happens. I am sure I have missed out on good punts because of this but would sooner that than have to either go through with a punt for the sake of politeness or making my excuses if she was really unpleasant on the eye. They say dating profiles with pictures generate 15 times more interest than those without, see no reason why this would not be equally if not more true for face pics on a wg's profile. Ultimately a wg making such a change would be a winner. It is not just that a small percentage hide face pics, loads do it and it makes a punter's task frustrating.

I do that too. I wish I didn't as it does mean you are pretty much always disappointed. It doesn't help with all the reviews many girls get painting them out to be a total goddess so you think Ellen Page / Jessica Biel will open the door.

I can think of maybe three or four times I have been surprised when the door opened over what I had in my mind of she would look like beforehand.

But its a case of many of the girls I have seen if they had a face photo beforehand I probably wouldn't have booked as they were not what I would go for.

the bigger issue is how they obscure them, a harsh blur is far worse than the starburst used by Amour and previously NG. worse again though are those that black out the eyes, turning them into some kind of extra from the Living Dead!

The worst ever though is where they get creative with Photoshops swirl effect, turning the face into some kind of vortex that's sucking a Cyclops down!

It's that I don't know what my future holds and I don't really need someone in 20 years tyme coming up with definitive proof that I used to be a WG and trying to ruin my career/reputation. One you put that stuff on the net it never goes away.

I agree. Once it's on the Internet that's it. N eventually I want to settle down n have a family n I don't want my future kids coming across pics like these of their mum. X

I wasn't questioning the reason for obscuring faces in photos; I totally understand why any WG would want to do that, and you won't see my face on my AW profile either (or any other bits of me for that matter). I was just musing on the fact that my mind puts in a "perfect" face where the face is obscured in the photo, and this can sometimes lead to false expectations.

I agree with you on both these points Lamnguin. I can understand why a wg would want to obscure her face and I am not making a moral criticism of those that choose to do this. However, most punters would surely prefer to see face pics given the chance. If I don't see a face pic, my mind assumes that her face is at the same level of visual appeal as her body. However in practice, this can be totally wrong and as a result I wouldn't make a booking. Even if she is not bad looking, it would still be difficult to escape the disappointment of not getting the "perfect" face one has imagined.

The funny thing is, although I think the prettier the face the better, at the same time I would be more than happy to see a girl who was just moderately good looking, if her overall physical appeal was good. Many of the faceless profiles also have the wgs in such unusual poses, where you can't get a proper sense of their figures anyway.

Your point about not having your own pictures up on AW is fair enough. At the same time though, you are not offering your services to these women, like me you are seeking them. I don't know what your philosophy is but the way I see it, if a wg genuinely tries to give me a pleasurable experience than I am more than happy to try and return the favour. Having said this though, my looks or sexual performance should be irrelevant if she is a good professional. Even if she thought that I was nothing to look at and useless in the sack, she is the one advertising that she is providing a service not me. The visual dimension is a big part of the sexual experience and the lack of face pics is frustrating and can lead to false expectations which are later dashed.

It has been interesting to hear the perspective of the ladies on this thread. I totally sympathise with comments such as not wanting people to see your escort pics after settling down with a family etc. As I said it is your prerogative, you have to do what you feel comfortable with. At the same time, there are many punters who don't feel comfortable making a faceless booking. Out of interest, have either of you previously had visible face pics and if so, have you found any difference in your level of custom since making the change to obscured pics ?

I have never had face pics up there. I've been asked to give them out by email or text and have always declined.
