What I don't get is how they get the good feedback though?? If the feedback were from 'fake punters' I'd understand.

This may be obvious to everyone else but I'm a newbie.
Feedback on AW, should be researched thoroughly. Often this is from fake accounts, fluffies or those weirdos that like being ripped off. Always check on UKP for reviews and discussion.
As far as I know these have always been the pictures used
