I wasn't that impressed with the stuff I scored "Stallion" I think it was called caused a weird sensation on my bell end and ended up coming faster than usual. Still got it downstairs but it's used for implanting micro chips now and numbing the area before the applicator needle is inserted. I find the condoms with stuff added to be too powerful and I struggle to get hard. This is probably because (aside from the relatively high concentrations of topical anaesthetic used) it ends up covering pretty much the whole head of the penis (rather than just a small area).

Most topic anaesthetics aren't great and usually are a bit too powerful as well. Also, all of them (except Promescent) caused a mild, temporary burning sensation (which is normal and it was fine but it was still a little disconcerting). Nonetheless, a key tip is to apply a very small amount in only a small area - specifically the underside of you penis towards the tip of the head (where the fold of the foreskin starts).

In the past I've used a few products and I think the best is Promescent but beware it's expensive (certainly compared to the other options) and it's still a bit too powerful (although that's good because you only need to use a little bit and it'll last a long time). I find that it somehow delays ejaculation while still leaving you with 90% of sensation, which is noticeably better than other products I tried (provided you apply it the way I mentioned above - here's a link explaining it - External Link/Members Only). Bear in mind that suggests you should apply it 10 mins before sex but I've found that it's fine to apply it up to an hour beforehand and it'll still work for a half hour punt (although that might vary from person to person).

Having said all that, that was a good while ago for me and now I just punt so much that I don't need anything and indeed a normal condom does the job perfectly fine. I also never had clinical premature ejaculation (but I'd still only last about 5-10 mins depending on the pace). Also, a lot of the "problem" is psychological and sometimes physical as well. You might want to look at books on the subject however just having a lot more sex "cured" me (it doesn't even need to be that regular).

Alternative methods include just having a wank the night before - extremely effective IMO.
