I don't believe anything she says. She went on Woman's Hour on radio a while back and said that when she went to Nevada she encountered 'learning disabled' women who had been 'double pimped'. I disagree. Most academics were horrified at her unacademic behaviour with the Poppy Report. Not everybody is in the gutter. In her case, the fact that someone is awarded a degree for scholarly data-based research doesn't stop them from going out the next day and producing trash. She's a disgrace to the universities that honoured her.

There was a documentary on TV a while ago that she was on. She said "We know from countless innumerable studies on prostitution and the sex industry - both on the street and off the street - high class escorts and the lower echelons of the market - that abuse is endemic. That women suffer all kinds of psychological and physical health problems." Not true. The only 'studies' that say this are those of Melissa Farley who is biased.

She talked about her friend Rebecca Mott. Rebecca claims that she used to be a prostitute. She said "most of the men were very violent" and talked about being strangled, choked and suffocated. She said they would "knock me unconscious as a way of not paying". The presenter of the documentary believed this.

For people who know nothing about prostitution what she says may sound credible but for anyone who knows anything about the subject it just doesn't make any sense. Every sex worker I've been with I've had to pay first, so is she saying that men would knock her out to avoid paying and have sex with her unconscious body? If she had a pimp - and these radical feminists believe women must be pimped - then the pimp wouldn't have allowed it.

Sometimes women who work on their own from a flat are subject to violence, but that's an argument for allowing women to work together. Which is what they want to do but are not allowed to in Britain or Sweden. They are arrested for running a brothel. Women aren't safer in Sweden, yet the Bindels and Motts of this world want to have the Swedish Model adopted throughout the world.

She was on LBC this afternoon being interviewed by Shelagh Fogarty. Also alongside her was a former Soho Madam,(Vivien something or other  )One of the guests was polite, measured and well informed, while the other was beligerent, hostile and intolerant?  I think you'll all know which one was which.

She was on Womans Hour on Radio 4 this morning. About sex workers she said "they shouldn't be arrested - ever". Yet she promotes the Swedish system where women are arrested. Two women who work together for safety can be arrested. Same thing happens in Britain.

What doesn't happen in Britain but does happen is Sweden is that when the police identify a sex worker they can get her evicted by threatening her landlord. Sex workers can also be deported or have their children taken away from them. I bet she doesn't say that in her book!

So there's a contradiction in what she says. Another contradiction is that she said men can do anything they want to a sex worker once they've paid. Well we all know that's not true. Yet she says that they get pain in the neck from pulling away from men who want to kiss them.

The idea that neck pain is an occupational hazard of being a prostitute is just silly, and it contradicts her assertion that they have to do anything the man wants.
