Author Topic: Changing some of the facts in a review - opinion  (Read 916 times)

Offline Billy no mates

Firstly, I have to say all my reviews to date are 100% accurate.

Last month I saw an escort, it was overall a neutral. I am concerned she learnt some personal information about me, so I have delayed my review to try to colour her memory. I still feel like it will be obvious who I am, so I am left with a dilemma. Shoud I not review at all (she has been reviewed on UKP before) or should I review her changing some elements, so as to mask which punter I was. I would keep all the key facts in place and why the neutral score.

I remember recently one of the reviewers here got called out on some basic facts and admtted to doing just that (changing elements to hide identity) the response in the thread was mixed. So I want to ask peoples thoughts prior to doing the same thing.

I have a new review going up later for Friday just gone, that will be accurate  :)

what makes you think she has learnt personal information about you?

I've been suggesting it for a while now, for privacy reasons you can not mention the date of the punt, not mention the length of the booking, not go into unnecessary detail and also add things to confuse them as to who you are, e.g. claim the postman knocked on the door mid-booking, etc. These things won't really affect the overall review. But obviously what is changed or omitted has to be kept within reason and not to discredit the whole review.

Sometimes it's not just the prossie herself who may target you because of the negative review, but someone who depends on her selling her vagina, such as her boyfriend or pimp who earns commission from her.

Depends what damage the personal information leak (Loved up pillow talk) can do to you, have no idea anything about you so cannot answer ths, all i know is indecisive and attention seeking from this post but that is nothing to do with risk.

Only you know what damage the leak can do, is a neutral review worth the risk or not.

Entirely up to you.

Self preservation is my No1 priority.

If changing a few details to hide your identity does not have any affect on how the wg will be gauged in the review regarding services, attitude etc. then I would think this acceptable. However, if presenting alternative facts meant 'peverting the course of justice', I simply wouldn't do the review.

Offline Richthescouser

I've done this. Tweak details that make no difference to the review but make it much harder to identify me a week or two later. Maybe change the order that things happened in - doesn't change the review significantly but makes it harder to remember who was who.

Better having a review with a few tweaks to protect the innocent than miss out on potentially useful info.

Is this not why you would have a fictitious life with a fake name created. This world is a fantasy and we can be whoever we want. We can be a postman or a surgeon or a vicar. As long as you don't spin the yarn too much and remember what you say, it's a great way to cover ones track with the prossie.

However to answer the question, if you feel that there is the chance that you could be impacted and you have a lot to loose why would you change it?

To be honest I tend to delay reviews unless they are a neg or neutral so as to give time for her to forget details about me.  I also don't state the date or duration nor go into a warts and all description.  I try to put in enough about appearance, location (if incall) and service to let people make their own judgement.

Above all look after your own privacy.

I think that adding some obfuscation to a review is fine, things such as booking length, date, weather, outfit, etc, as none of those things impact the meat of the review.  If you're very worried about her identifying you from the review even after changing some details, perhaps don't review this one?  Maybe add a comment to one of her prior reviews here so that at least something of your experience will be here to help others anyway?

Changing the outfit is certainly changing details, I wouldn't advise that at all. They probably wear the same outfit all day anyway unless you ask specifically.

This is a very good point and not something that's not even crossed my mind even though i'm new to the site/reviewing punts.

I did a review recently which I rated positive and some of the comments I got referred to how the WG doesn't like/usually see UKP member and that it did used to be stated on her profile (isn't currently). Searching further reviews on the WG somebody else's review stated how she called him out on a review he'd previously left during the punt! :scare: Not the type of situation you'd want to be caught in!

May this could be included in the guide to reviewing if it isn't already?

We all tweak details to try and maintain our anonymity, well, I do.

The real facts are there though, the stuff you really need to know.

I will say this though, never announce where you're going, only where you've been. I see it so many times on here and elsewhere punters announcing they've got a booking at so and so day and time  :dash: :dash:

I recently reported on a WG a few days after the meet then wished I'd left it a bit longer.  That's because I subsequently discussed it privately with another member on here and realised that, if I'd thought a bit more about the entire meet [venue; circumstances; WG's attractiveness; services offered], I'd probably have rated it a Neutral, rather than Positive.

I seem to remember tcm on another thread recently, counselling against rushing into posting FRs.  There spoke the voice of experience, imo!

All very simple for me, I post a general true account of the WG and services offered, I don't go into dates and times though the punt wouldn't of been that long before. I don't discuss I am on UKP and if a WG works it out its not come from information I have told her. So my advice is keep reviews general if your bothered, use a punting phone/sim so all a WG knows about you is what you have told her.

I also do reviews for punters not the WG, this means any WG who advertises online as a WG will get a review if I decide to do one whether she wants one or not. This IS a punters forum after all.

When you review most important detail is good or bad the rest is up to you easy to add what was good or bad and not single your self out .

Why would it get locked or moved, its a valid thread and other punters not yet having seen the thread might wish to post their views.

Interesting perspective. I guess just stating "price as advertised etc" to keep it simple/obfuscated?

I had adopted that tactic a while ago ! Instead of talking about my 12" i just write about  9" in the review
