I was just thinking how I would have behaved had UKP been around when I first started punting. Some of the newbie questions frequently seem ludicrous, but would any of us have been different? Maybe we shouldn't be too hard on them? When I started the internet didn't exist, never mind UKP and punting was a secret and solitary activity during which you often stumbled from one mistake to the next.
Maybe some of us 'oldies' are a little resentful because we didn't have the same wonderful resources and information at our fingertips? Or maybe some newbies are simply naïve twats who demand too much spoon feeding?
Of course this is ultimately one of those accidents of history which throw up impossible to answer hypothetical questions.

I started punting regularly thanks to the internet, where I visited parlours. My earliest main source of punting information was pro$$ienet, until a parlour girl introduced me to adultwork. Then I started visiting WGs via AW and made a load of mistakes where I had some pretty crap punts. I also had some great punts along the way.

After a long break in 2013/14, I started punting again and became more selective in who I met for punts. In general I feel that I had more very good punts than bad ones.

However I feel that the internet and punting can also be a curse in that it can create unrealistic expectations for a meet that you want. Also some ladies can use UKP membership against you and mess you about.

I guess when you start out punting you are keen, eager and curious. There is the novelty to all this. However this is often followed by a massive let down in the punt itself, mainly due to inexperience. I know as I have experienced this myself in my very beginnings of punting.

As mentioned in my earlier post, I began to have some great punting experiences once I found a way around circumventing the things that held me back.

However in my early years of punting (2009 to 2012) I did this far more regularly, and therefore I had bad punts. This was mainly down to me not doing enough research and thinking too much with my dick. Most of the bad punts were with EE and Nottingham ladies.

Maybe they are trying to minimize the risk of a negative experience.

Think the key is most people skip over is getting over things, can ruin many future punts if you let it.

 I think the fact there are reviews in every region that give you a good idea who you should book if your new to punting. Looking at the guy on about loosing his virginity thread and someone suggested this gem External Link/Members Only.
Is she the most reviewed girl on here or not? Wish she would tour in the northwest. There could be a place were you put the most well reviewed girl on her in order like when were you could sort by most reviewed in order. But in general it is a great site where it is easy to find reviewed girls or search service providers you like the look of. Maybe new members joining the site should be sent a guide as in what to do and not to do in there first post.

I too took to punting due to the internet and what it provided.
Trying to imagine myself as a virgin punter is easy. My first punt was with Diane of Bushey and I was so nervous the glass of orange squash she gave me went over the bed due to my shaking hand. From there I'm glad to say things got better and better.

I don't have to imagine it as it was very recently.

I had some life stress which the sex helped with, but also, given as I had my circumcision, I have a new dick which I need to learn how to use and some interested civvies who I am trying to avoid fucking, so an experienced WG was the perfect solution.

But what I didn't do was ask anything about it. I know what I'd like to do and roughly how to go about it, but that may be due to me having lower inhibitions and the use of google. I can appreciate that others may be shy and need a helping hand.

I am fussy, I know what I like and I know what I don't. I made a shortlist of girls (which is actually, really short - my recommended list is much larger!) then jumped on them at the earliest convenience.

I really didn't get into punting looking for love, but sometimes it is hard for me to stop talking and get on with the fucking. That's something I'll have to work on.

For richer or poorer, I'll be sticking to 30 mins in future and less often, unless of course a WG has an hour minimum. I probably still won't cum unless we stay in the same position for most of it, or it is oral all the way, but that won't stop me from having a good time with a good fuck and some good company regardless.

I came here around 4 years ago back in 2012. Seen a lot of people come and become a distant memory. The insights which can be gained here is invaluable. We have the most experienced uk punters on the board. A lot of it is tough love the other part is throwing you out head first and all deserve it if that happens.

The success of punting is the punters mindset. A lot of guys think UKP'ers are harsh and it is for good reason. You have to have a 0% bullshit policy in this game. Otherwise it all gets out of hand. Experienced punters know what i am talking about. In fact not only do I believe UKP to have helped me personally but to have helped the entire punting scene in the UK in general. Working girls now know what to expect. I believe some have upgraded their services in response and are now swimming in bank notes. Everybody wins.

I read a few chapters of 'Secret diary of a call girl' (didn't finish it as I got bored, but that is how the seed was sown for me). After that my punting started in 2011 and has been totally internet facilitated.

Discovered AW on google. Bought and read a books on punting off amazon for research before my first punt. Bought blue pills off an online pharmacy. Inspiration for what to do in punts has come from online porn.

Prior to all this I had the silly stereo-typical idea all prossies were 'street walking AIDS junkies' and parlours were the sort of places I might end up getting mugged. I wouldn't ever have gone near it in the UK I don't think without being able to do my own research in private on the net. I had always been tempted to try the red light district in Amsterdam so I might have done that anyway without the net.

I only discovered UKP last year and after 18 months off punting, started again this year and all good punts so far using this resource to do my research  .

I was punting for about four or five years before the punting scene had any real prescence on the net. The main difference was not being able to view the girls online in advance. You had to go with descriptions and turn up and see who was there. In some ways I've gotten to see the kind of girls I'd want to by being able to view them in advance online. In other ways before that, I ended up with girls who weren't necessarily the kind of girls I'd have gone for but have been great.

I try to avoid newbies help me type threads nowadays, they are basically always the same in the main. The info they want assuming they are genuine is already on here but as is the case nowadays some cant be bothered to read the relevant posts and threads.

I want as many genuine newbie punters to be members as possible but I see admin posted on an Off-Topic thread saying how few newbies now go on to make good contributions. I find that a very interesting comment.

Like you I punted pre-net so having UKP is such an advantage to a punter in comparison BUT what I find puzzling is when a London punter says he cant locate a good WG, plenty of positive reviews on the London review board and at various price points, yet reading some punters posts they live and punt in a different London to me.

Been out of the punting game since the pre Internet times, so when I decided to return it was a present surprise how easy it is now. Of course there are still pitfalls, WGs can lie on  their profile just as easily as they can on a card in a newsagents window or a postcard in a phone box and Photoshop means you can't trust the pics to be real, but compared to the old days it's a punting paradise.
