Just wondered has the days of top shelf adult contact mags gone ?
Easier on the net nowadays but does anyone actually buy the mags anymore ?
Personally I used to but not very often now as the mags have the same content as on the net,
Just curious !

They have been very much superseded by the internet by now I should think. Never used contact mags but always suspected, rightly or wrongly, they were used by wg's to attract custom rather than any girls who were genuinely on the look out.

OMG, how I used them. First was in 1972 when I met a WG in Green St Forest Gate. Just 10 minutes from where I lived!
Then there was a contact club for us married. Run by two women living in Golders Green. All done by snail mail. They sent out (for a fee) lists of married ladies to the men, and married men to the ladies. Each on the list had a nickname. Like 'beauty', 'lovely lady', dark haired maiden' and so forth. Had to write to whoever you fancied, put it in a sealed envelope, and send to the ladies that ran the club who would forward the letters. In those days, accommodation address's the only way of getting your mail from this club. Can't remember its name? Only that it advertised in publications like Private Eye.

They were at one time the only reasonably easily way of contacting a WG, especially if you travelled. No sat nav/mobile and being sent from phone box to phone box until you got near before getting the address. It was a real journey of discovery. I had some very strange encounters but mostly at least as good as AW now and probably more reliable then Viva Street.

Back in the dark ages - before the internet - I used a contact may called Aquarium.  Bought off a top shelf, scribbled out worthy letters to selected contacts and had replies sent to a PO Box run by a guy near West Ham. Then had to call him a week or so later to see if there were any responses and if so go along to pick them up.
Being discreet was bloody complicated in those days.

You are quite right. In fact there is a WG in Derby, still active on AW, who l first came across via Phoenix. Back in the day she was probably the longest reg l have had. That's more about choice then though.

I loved the contact mags...with phoenix being my favorite....one of the many good things about the mags was that the photo's weren't 'touched up'...maybe they sometimes weren't the same woman that you met..but there was very little bait and Switch around ...and definitely no EE's...but I saw many from the Mag and several became regulars.Also.in my opinion,we generally had a safer,cleaner more satisfying time.

YES! I remember Aquarius and Phoenix and best of all Rendezvous. I met plenty of ladies that way. I remember one who taught me how to lick her lower lips for the first time.
