Ipswich and Colchester outfall hotels

Anyone ever used hotels in Ipswich or Colchester. Any recommendations with ease of access without questions.

When we could stay places last year I had been in the Premier Inn (Colchester A12 near the A120) and the Holiday Inn (Eight Ash Green).
Had no problems with either of them, but as with most (all ?) the PI has card access from reception so any visitors need to be collected.

Plenty of secure, well lit parking at both and the PI has a couple of food options nearby too from memory.

I'm a regular user of Hotels in the area, and would say that the Holiday Inn's are far easier to use, as no Card entry required through any doors except the room.
Premier Inns at Braintree and Colchester are fine, clean and tidy, but i.d. can be an issue as card payment only last year.

Naming usable hotels during lockdown pretty good way of making them unusable.

Who said they were being used during lockdown ?
Both my and "myhobby" comments were about the times we were allowed to use Hotels last year between lockdowns, and my comments weren't time specific.
