Author Topic: Random AW Profiles popping up on Searches!  (Read 610 times)

I don't know if anybody else has found this happening?

I have a 'Hotlist' on AW, and I frequently subscribe to the 'Logged in now' feature when I am planning a punt - I find that it can help with comms if I can see that a particular target is online and is likely to read any emails. Also helps to see that an email has been ignored as well if they are on line for a while and the email hasen't been opened!

So, when I search using the options 'On Line Now' and 'On My Hotlist' the search usually shows any girls on my hotlist that happen to be online at that particular moment - exactly as it should. However, occasionally, I find a profile popping up on the search results that seems to be completely random!

I just did a search and one popped up as being on my hotlist - it was a well established escort, member of AW for 6 years, good feedback, and probably the sort of escort that I would consider booking. But I have never, ever looked at the profile before, let alone added the girl to my hotlist! She was based in an area of the country that I have never even looked at punting in - but there she was, on my search results as being on my hotlist!

This is not the first time that this has occurred and it made me wonder if it is a common practice for AW to randomly insert profiles into specific search results for some obscure reason, or is it just a coding fault that results in random errors?

I throw the question open to those on here who may be able to shed some light on the phenomenon!

I do have girls appear on hotlists occasionally and I'm certain I never added them.

Two possibilities spring to mind....

Are you 100% certain you never ever hotlisted her? Maybe she toured near you years ago. I say this because I believe all the ladies you hotlist lurk within your adultwork "footprint" even after you delete them.
I set up a small temporary hotlist called "possibles" to help me plan a punt. I duly deleted it afterwards. A year or so later I created a new hotlist in similar circumstances, when I named it "possibles" again ALL the ladies from the previous deleted hotlist magically appeared in it. This is why I think that old/deleted profiles hang about in the background and certain actions on AW can resurrect them.

Or, maybe a lady you previously hotlisted has sold her profile on and that's why you don't recognise this current lady?

Obviously I'm just guessing - it could simply be the AW search function went wonky on you.

Yes, profiles that are dormant and not showing in results remain on hotlist and reactivate when the profile reactivates.

It may be that the profile changed, for example I HL'd this SP as  Curvy_Camila25

Wondered who the F*ck Big_Fatty_Lady_Nina (current name) was!

OP - Try searching on here for the AW number, there may be further info here that can help you.

Tried searching for the AW number here on UKP and it brought up a number of results along with 1 Positive review - but it shows absolutely nothing that would have caused me to search for her before, let alone hotlist her at any time.

The profile doesn't seem to have been sold on to anybody and has been active since 2013. Looking at the AW feedback it seems to refer to the same girl throughout its history.

I am aware that, sometimes, profiles that I may have hotlisted and then deleted from a list may re-appear on searches and fully accept that as happening on a regular basis. It would seem that this one is some sort of anomoly with the AW system rather than anything else.

Thank you all for the comments and advice. I just wondered if anyone had noticed this sort of thing before.

By the way, the profile in question is as follows:

External Link/Members Only or External Link/Members Only+

This. It's happened to profiles on my hotlists.

I think there must be a lively market in reselling or recycling profiles.

Sometimes a WG owns her profile and sells it on when she stops working, or sometimes she was only renting it off a manager/assistant who is now renting it to someone else.
