Author Topic: Viagra, kamagara etc in Portugal?  (Read 914 times)

Offline Chooser

Apologies for posting this in UK forum, but no joy in Europe section. Maybe someone doing general reading can advise re whether blue pills such as viagra, kamagra, sildenafil etc are available over the counter in Portugal?
I have stupidly left mine at home and am in Portugal for two weeks. Searching on the internet for a definitive answer has proved to be fruitless. Any information from fellow punters would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.  :hi:

Have you tried going to a pharmacy and asking?

Offline Chooser

I was hoping for helpfully responses, not fucking sarcasm! If it were that easy, of course I would have tried that! My opportunities to do so are pretty severely restricted!  :dash:

How is it sarcasm?

If you expect to have the opportunity to go in and purchase then you can go in and ask.

My post was  a simple and genuine  request for information. I don’t need to explain myself to you oh keyboard warrior! If you are so strapped for useful things to do at this time of night then you are obviously on the wrong website - may I suggest Mumsnet is probably more appropriate for yourself!   Plonker.

Offline GingerNuts

No explanation was asked for.

Your self inflicted frustration is showing so I'll just wish you good luck in your search.

Offline Chooser

Thank you for that. May I respectfully suggest that in future, if you have nothing useful to contribute, then there is absolutely no point in responding at all! Good night.

If you'd said you'd tried asking at a pharmacy in your original post people wouldn't have suggested it. We aren't mind readers on here.

You are the one coming across as the keyboard warrior, insulting those who were trying to help. Maybe you should try asking on mumsnet and see if they can help you, I can't see many on here being keen with the shit attitude you have.

you got a perfectly legitimate answer to you question, and you abuse the the person who tried to help, I don't think any further help will be forthcoming

So you haven't tried the one obvious recourse open to you.

That's your trouble, you aren't being respectful about anything. People are trying to be helpful, it isn't their fault you are too thick to try the obvious or state what you have tried yourself to solve your problem.

I know of one solution but I better not post it in case you've already tried it.

BTW If you don't want replies don't post fucking questions.

A mate of mine did get some tablets from the pharmacy - he asked and they just provided over the counter. Not sure what they were but they were not the famous little blue ones. I did not pay much attention to the name as I have no need for medical assistance yet.

He does speak Portuguese so if you do not converse in the language you may struggle.

Good luck and sorry I cannot be more helpful.

You really need to get your leg over to relieve all that pent up frustration.

Might want to try some blood pressure tablets at the same time as asking to the pharmacy? Oh, wait a minute, you don't want to do that or can't.

Seriously mate, chill the fuck out. You're on holiday....

I know the OP asked about Portugal. But I did find this about Spain.

I am hoping one of two things may apply, that either you could hop across the border given both Portugal and Spain are Schengen countries. Or it may also mean Portugal has similar rules. But

"Is it possible to buy Viagra without a prescription in Spain?
Is Viagra available over the counter in Spain? Yes, indeed. In Spain you can find many chemist’ shops that offer over-the-counter medications, which usually require prescription, issued by a licensed specialist. Viagra OTC and Cialis are not the exception. For these drugs, prescription is not needed in Canaries, Spain and Balearics as well. However, we are not sure, whether it is legal or not."

In most countries where kamagra is not approved there’s lucrative businesses that sell it online. Portugal is the same, there’s plenty of sites that sell it, however I can’t recommend one as I never bought while I was there. Of course, not being regulated it means that you can receive fakes.

I recently came back from living in Spain for 18 months and can quite definitely say that a prescriprion from a Doctor is the legal requirement. The prescription cost me 40 Euros and can be used many times as the Pharmacist reas it then hands ir back for you to use again. I tried half a dozen pharmacies with no precription and they all refused to sell Viagra to me. Having said all this I did get them without prescription in the Canary Islands
