I started punting in 2009. For the first two years I was punting at least once a week. I done a tally and estimate that I've punted at least 350 times. Possibly more. On average they were £70 punts before the prices risen last year. Then there's the Splat Bukakke event I went to in 2017 and five Manchester gangbsngs at £150 each.
350 x 70 = 24,000
150 x 3 = 450
So about £24,500 (I think the Splat Bukakke was £50/£60).
Makes me sick to think of it in those terms. Especially due to the fact that the majority of them were not great or memorable punts. If I'd have invested the money each time rather than going for a punt who knows how much it would have accumulated by now?
A lesson for any newbie lurkers here. If you must punt, only see dead certs reviewed on here and don't go mad.
Bloody hell, M.J.s, I kinda wish you hadn't done that! Working out the cost, I mean!
I started late in 2004; went through the "kid in a sweetshop" phase (at least 2 punts a week in the Massage Parlours of Manchester) before finding AW a couple of years later, and usually having one long (2 hrs minimum) punt a month with the MILFs on there. Oh; and the occasional - between a dozen & 20 over the years - Overnights. Not to mention a spell of a year or so when I was shelling out for fortnightly visits to a lass I had EAS for.
I kinda shudder at what my total over those years would be.
And yet, and yet; Mrs Home-Alone had pissed off with "my successor", so I wasn't going without sex. Which was the main reason for starting punting in the first place.
And apart from the EAS problem, I never ran the risk of getting into financial difficulties. And once the scales dropped from my eyes about Ms. E.A.S., I reined in my spending on punting and now, due to age and infirmity, rarely punt.
But there is a salutary lesson for novice punters in both your post and mine, especially if those novice punters have family responsibilities or just generally don't keep a check on their punting spending.
