It's not really just a slowness thing; many girls work on the basis of taking appointments on the day and lots of guys ring up with a view of booking for in-the-next-hour-or-so.  When I'm working full time I find this works best, but it does mean that you are tied to your apartment for most of the week just as you would be to an office in a 9-5.

Aside from other practical chores that need doing away from your apartment, we all want a family/social life and most of my friends/family are free at the weekends so however busy it would be or not, it just makes the most sense to make these days the 'days off'.

I'm not against doing evenings and weekends if booked in advance, but it's more that  having to stay in the house when other things need to get done (bank, post office, supermarket). Once I leave the house it's hard to get back in time, shower, get ready etc in time seeing as at least 70% of guys (particularly if you new in an area  and you've not built up regs who are more likely to advance book) want to come to you as soon as possible and if your not free within an hour many will be disposed to trying their luck elsewhere. That's why when I work full time (and other escorts I've met often work this way to) I'll give myself set hours.

If your saving up for something in particular or you are just short term working, like some of the EE girls, I can understand wanting to just work around the clock, but if it's just your 'day job' for the foreseeable then you will want time off just the same as anyone else.

As for working 9-5, if you only see on average between 3 half hour customers per day across 5 days at £70, for example, you will earn £1050. If you pay for a second work flat that might not be so great, but if you work from home it's a very tidy living.

However pretty you are or not, you simply might not be that interested in earning more, and as I said before, escorts have friends/family too.

But I can only speak for me, and I'm only interested in money up to the point that it keeps me comfortable.

I live in London and I can vouch for the fact that engineering works don't affect every line every weekend. 

I never use the special bus services laid on where lines are affected (they sometimes don't go via the quickest route) - I just use regular bus services instead.  For instance I had to get to Archway from Tottenham Court Road one day when the Northern line was out,  I just hopped on a 134 bus and there were no hitches.

As a tangential aside. I used to co-op share a flat with a handful of other women. Yes only work five hours a day. It suits me as I can't work evenings and I sporadically work weekends. It all depends on how much you want/need to earn and family life.

I'm sorry, but you are using anecdotal evidence to try and assume a whole phenomena, your opinions are not based on any empirical research of the 'busyness' of hooker demographics. I was never trying to say that all older women are busier that younger women all of the time, but that the busyness of an individual is dependent on many variables.

Particularly over time, some providers do well for themselves because they build up regulars and a good rep, others might struggle in the long term. A 'pretty young thing' might be stone cold 'in the room' and after initial popularity, struggle to get return custom and not do so well in the long term.
