Author Topic: WGs that don't confirm bookings (that do go ahead)  (Read 1099 times)

Had a punt recently. Phone comms were good but the appointment hadn't been confirmed on Adultwork which made me unsure about going ahead with the punt.  In previous punts WGs confirmed these bookings.
I did go ahead (and glad too!) and I don't think there was anything sinister going on at all, but.....

What's the norm with booking confirmation? Can the system be abused?

Doesn't bother me either way, only do them if requested, usually phone call does for me unless easier to use that for outcall addresses all in one place.

Its AW of course it can be abused that's why this site exists, AW feedback is pure blowing smoke up the escorts arse and has consequences if you dare to say bad things.  Usually in terms of slanderous comments back that appear on your feedback.

This is what makes AW feedback nearly worthless !

Last year in town, I took an urge to make a booking, and checked my phone contacts, an sent of a few text messages along with my aw profile name, and waited for the reply's

Oddly enough, most of them replied either telling me, there not free, or yes; the ones who were free, I sent a further text message telling them, wish to see someone at 3pm

Maria from Glasgow was one of first escorts to reply, and arranged to see her at 3pm, and enjoyed my visit; once home I placed a booking through aw, but Maria never confirmed booking, possibly because she take all her bookings by text

Another escort I have seen this way, was Magalie from Glasgow, and since I had seen her in 2006 thought might as well see if I like what she offers; yes I liked what we got up to, but wouldn't go back.  Booking was made by text, but she insisted I place a booking through aw, and leave feedback, and also a field report.  Think this is where her high feedback count comes from, she is pushing everyone to leave feedback

very rare that I use the booking system - phone call is preferred method.

I rarely bother with using AW unless they specifically request I put a booking through. I certainly wouldn't be bothered wether it was confirmed or not. They usually just want to see if you've got feedback.

The vast majority of the time I use the phone or text but on occasion we might agree to leave each other feedback and in that case I put in a booking after the event. She'll confirm it, leave feedback and I'll do the same.

Personally I never book anyone unless we have confirmed it verbally on the phone first, I'm not really bothered if they don't confirm the booking form on adultwork, Its up to them if they confirm it

I am the same, phone booking is the important part of the operation. I did one on Monday ( report to follow) where I booked the lady on a whim forty minutes prior to the punt over the phone. I then backed it up on AW she did not confirm till yesterday anyway, the punt was a good one .

I left her feedback , none from her yet who gives a shit ....

A/W is run by low lifes so of course it can be abused. I don't waste my time using its poxy booking and feedback system, all very simple for me, if a WG hasn't a displayed phone number she doesn't get my business. The norm for me is to phone a WG to confirm the punt is still on before I leave mine or when I am in the WGs area for other reasons as I often am to reduce my chances of a wasted journey, not that the WG will know I am in her area anyway.

I've found the majority of bookings on aw don't get confirmed until after the punt, as long as all sorted by email and text it's not a problem, the aw booking is just so they can get a feedback afterwards

This has been my experience too. Some don't even bother to confirm the meet ever took place, I used to think this was to do AW out of commission but I think they must just use it for leaving neg feedback against timewasters

I think the AW system is set up so they can mark your booking request as "scheduled" once you submit it and then mark it as "confirmed" once booking has taken place. I've seen a couple who do operate like that, several who just mark it as confirmed straight away and a couple who just leave the booking unacknowledged (but still meet me).
Basically, it's a bit of a pig in a poke as to how they use it.

scheduled means no feed back + or - against there feed back total number
Confirm ed mean negative feed back can be left so a -1  feed back
Hope that explains why most leave it at scheduled stage .
