There are no places like marrakesh in tangier. However there are plenty of girls in cafes that u can approach. Also all girls in the bars are working.

First night in tangier was a bit of a mess. Arrived at my apartment at 9pm after departing marrakech at 8:20am. It was nice seeing morroco by train but the endless delays made it much more painful that it should have been. Yes having a better time in tangier than I did in marrakech but I'd put a lot of it down to having a bit more experience, more than anything. And tangier is a much nicer and cleaner city than marrakech. Weather here right now is perfect, high 20s with a nice ocean breeze. A quick report

The club scene in tangier isnt anywhere near good as marrakech, but cheaper prices. Most people in tangier don't speak much English.

sky lounge was bit dead, has wgs, apparently space club near it has alot of wgs and has 200dh entry. Theres also a hotel club nearby which was alright and few wgs 100dh with drink. We also went little further out to a club called blacks which was full of wgs trying to get your attention. Next to it is la Luna club, which is the same I think.

Past McDonald's near cafe panorama there's a road, where you see some girls walking up and down, they waiting to get picked up in cars, got a few when they were waiting for taxis in that area. But the ones i had were from other citys, there for like a week or 2.  One from kenitra was a great shag, if i had met her ealier would off gotten her around more times.  The cafes in the area have some girls sitting looking for business, alot are virgins tho. only got one this way.

Travelling through Gatwick airport using Air Arabia for the first was a different experience. On the plane we were informed that due to strike action we will be delayed by an hour and half.

Got to Tangier and prices from the airport are fixed on the taxi rank, paid 200dh to get to the beach side McDonalds.

Got in touch with another contact and he showed me and my mate a few apartments within a vicinity and they were all a let down. Small, didn't fit the requirements and lacking a view.

We got in touch with Mr A who lined up a contact with an apartment. She showed us a stunning 3 bed, 2 bathroom and nice balcony. Originally we were told 800dh per night but then they were asking for more, about 900dh. Negotiated hard to ensure we got 800dh for at least 30 mins.

Went out to get a meal and after running around in circles trying to find something to both our tastes we ended up in a part just after Sharia mexic. We went to a place first and they tried to overcharge us and we weren't having it so we walked and ended up at this pizza and shawarma place, La Gondola just opposite the canons. Good value food and no unwanted after effects.

On the road we saw very minimal talent which was disappointing. The ones we saw either looked too young or not nice enough. Walked back to the apartment and decided to get some rest and head out to space lounge on the recommendation of fellow members ss23.

Important thing to note is that most cabbies didn't know where it is because it's a club attached to Hotel Oumnia. So after asking two cab drivers we found out it's about a few mins on foot, saved the dough and used our feet.

Once inside we were shocked to find that there was very little competition today. They told us it's a quiet night so it was our lucky day. We got a table for free, ordered the drinks that came with 200dh entry fee and a hookah pipe to smoke on. I'm knocking back the red bulls trying to stay awake at this point as I have had a very long day and very little sleep. My mate is buzzing and keen to make sure this trip starts with a bang, pun intended.

In summary Tangier is much larger so getting girls can be either easy or difficult but depends on the individual. During the daytime it wasn't easy to find something for a couple of hours, we didn't have as much luck on the promenade, cafe panorama or McDonalds. We did get lucky on the clubs but very easily could have had a couple of dry nights.

Prices are lower but this place is not like Marrakech. It's much harder to get things organized.

Apartment wise there is a larger complex near McDonalds and Hilton. I'm told by the girls to avoid it, security tend to tax the individuals and the neighbours are most and sometimes can call the police.

Sharia mexic seems to be quiet dead and girls weren't too happy about being approached either.

Weather also affects a lot about what happens in Tangier.

In summary, although cost is less it is not as easy to get what you are after in Tangier. For this reason I say, Kech is better despite being a whole lot worse at the same time.

If so, what route/airport did you use in South of Spain?

Same thing with the Ferry Crossing.... has anyone travelled to Tangier from South of France? If so, what is the Ferry service like, frequency etc?

The gf has taken the ferry to Tangiers from Malaga. This cost around €20-40, not sure exactly. A quick trip and flights to Malaga usually can be picked up at £50.

I hear the taxi drivers at the ports will overcharge but it's no surprise really.

Ive driven from malaga airport to tarifa and got a ferry across to tangiers.
But wouldent do it again...
Also Mr. .Ali  . This year i went from Gibralter to tarifa and it cost €60 in tax,i then €40 from tarifa to tangiers by ferry . (I think your 20 to 40 euros from malaga to tangiers may be very wrong  )

@ cooltiger .. currently only place to go in tangiers is at thr omnia hotel space lounge or blacks but blacks is a taxi ride away and the taxi drivers will fleece you at closing time.

What about the shisha cafes, any good to pick up there or not? Also instead of using a taxi, would it not be a good idea to hire a car in Tangiers?

I've flown  from Edinburgh to Tanger via Malaga. For those of us North of the wall, we don't have any direct flights to Maroc anymore.

Ive driven from malaga airport to tarifa and got a ferry across to tangiers.
But wouldent do it again...
Also Mr. .Ali  . This year i went from Gibralter to tarifa and it cost €60 in tax,i then €40 from tarifa to tangiers by ferry . (I think your 20 to 40 euros from malaga to tangiers may be very wrong  )
Best way imo is Gatwick to tangiers in 3 hours ,takes out a lot of the bullshit
Like missing the last ferry across or the water is to choppy and the service is cancelled.

She didn't drive and was a foot passenger which is why the price is completely different I'd imagine. I could be completely wrong and I think she traveled to a different port which explains why the taxis charged a lot more to take them to the Medina. I do concede that your info is first hand so you would know best.

On the plus side you do get to see dolphins swimming along if you are lucky 

Everything else I agree but you can always feel free to try something different and see if it works.

Just down past Cafe Panorama there are a few shisha cafes, Istanbul, 75 Point, Pearle something (everyone told me the name in Arabic!) and if you travel by taxi there is another lounge called La Suite. As for pick ups, no comments as I haven't been properly or checked out.

For anyone confident enough I am definitely recommending hiring a car. But very important you understand the rules of their roads. Last thing you want is to be pulled over and fined by cops for a minor thing as taking a turn where you can't

Would you really want to be stopped by the cops with a couple of wgs  in your car at night 
They would bleed you dry .
Also as you mention they drive on the wrong side of the road 
So chances of a mishape are high imo ....
