I did realise that - was just making the point that if directly advertising adult services becomes illegal then we'd end up in the same situation as them over the pond.
To be fair when I'm on here I'm mostly "thinking" with the smaller head so you're probably right in that respect!

Almost as insidious as the Nordic model! 

Yet again the news article has a picture of a street walker and a car despite that being a tiny minority part of the scene and generally frowned upon by punters.

The reality is the vast majority of punters use the internet these days using sites like Adultwork or similar and the generally glossy web page of an Agency. Phone box carding is a dying way of advertising and frankly I haven't bothered looking at the back of a paper in a long time. The websites are also act as a form of self regulation as it allows punters and sex workers to flag up problems like unsafe practices, scammers, dangerous punters and those who might be in trouble.

The vast majority of punters do not want to see drug addicts, pimped or trafficked woman. Contrary to popular belief amongst many people we don't see the woman we punt as dehumanised objects. They are people we want to have an intimate experience with and pay for it. Now don't get me wrong if a woman wants to travel from another country for economic reasons and enter the sex industry I have no issue with that as long as it was of her own free will.

Just like the Nordic model all this does is force sex workers into far more unsafe practices and scares away the better punters.

Legalisation and regulation is the best model.

It covers the internets in Section 5, I don't see how they can enforce it.

it'll never happen,  they can read these exploratory bills in parliament till the cows come home then it will be watered down.  we all get the street walkers and the girls co-erced into it and none of us agree with this and would avoid this (most of us anyway, i would hope!).

As for the independents working from their homes and doing it because they want to,  that will not stop.  sounds like political scare mongering to score some points that will be forgotten about soon enough.

Is it mainly papers they want to ban because they been trying it for a while and most girls don't pay for paper ads anymore as they don't work anymore since AW plus very expensive compared to online etc.

It's a private member's bill introduced in the House of Lords.....with the fun and games that'll go on in the Commons with sorting out the Tax Credit fiasco and EU referendum debacle there's an odds on chance it will never be given time for it's three readings in the Commons.
