 I'm sure they all jump in their Ferraris at the end of the month,  drive down to the tax office and say "hey Mr tax office man I've earned £21,000 laying on my back this month how much tax do I owe you" ??

Same question goes for whoever works as a "sole trader" maybe (cabbie drivers, white van men, etc)

Offline Lewis

Some do, some don't. Depends on their conscience, and of course whether someone has grassed them up or not.

If they do it full time and arent cheating the benefit system then yes. Benefit cheats, most EE's and those in other employment supplementing their income through escorting no.

Its exactly why it should be legalised like Germany. Safer for everyone and they all have to pay their taxes. Just think of the extra money it could raise.

Ask one, just before you cum in her mouth.

It is legal.  And they have to pay taxes.

But like white van man, and those gardeners I hired a few weeks back, some still don't.  Not my problem.

Offline Lema

Don't you get a bit pissed off that they don't pay taxes on there £2000 a week but you do your £400-500 A WEEK ???

Most house-hopping romanians don't even pay the rates bill, let alone taxes. Why do you think they jump ship so often?

Offline Bangers and Gash

Paying tax is a no no, as it would interfere with their benefits.

...and who said being an accountant was boring. I wonder if dildos are tax deductable.

Presumably they count as "tools of the trade"

I think the revenue takes the view that..
If it is used solely for the purpose of your business, and nothing else, it is tax deductible. Given how often WGs say you're only paying for their time, unless they got a dildo with a built in c(l)ock, I don't know how you would argue the dildo's necessity.

I also spoke to a WG once who was complaining that her new tits were not tax deductible. She was properly on a soapbox about it!

I spoke to one girl who definitely paid taxes, she was building up an earnings record so that she could get a mortgage.

Yes they pay tax on earnings of £11.600 a year tax bill £0

Offline acer123

Do most trades people pay tax, or is it just cash in hand, avoids VAT, if they are actually VAT registered?

Offline rubric

Some do, some don't. The incidence of tax cheats is probably on par with white van men who work cash in hand.

It's not something specific to WGs and plenty do pay tax to avoid attention from HMRC.

Also if you claim lots of benefits they would lose more money so who knows

Offline Lema

So in other words they probably pay no tax at all!!

I dont want to talk politics, but having been to the jobcentre before, it can be like a full time job; sending pointless CVs and filling out questionnaires etc. I cant imagine the £40 a week JSA would be worth many WGs time. I notice it seems to be creeping up to an average of £80 per 1/2hr in this area.

Offline purple_t

I would imagine that most who do it full time and aren't pimped probably do pay tax. Otherwise, it's pretty hard to make regular, large deposits of cash into a bank account without raising suspicion. Like fuck they declare all their earnings though, but that's true also of many self-employed people.

The part-timers however...

Offline Lema

Why would they declair anything? We give them cash in hand so there's no need to !.
I know a couple of these girls personally and they say they just keep wads of cash around the place.

Offline HawkG

I have to wonder what planet some of you are on. They take cash from you, they give it to their dealer. It's that simple. No tax is involved

Offline MrMatrix

Certainly no EE WG pays tax. What annoys me is this UK cash being taken out of our country. But its too difficult for the revenue to chase down I suspect. I do know many UK SPs who do pay tax as eventually they will want to buy a house and thats when the questions are asked. And believe me they can be very searching even if they say O its a loan from M&D, they they become part of any enquirey.  :(

I saw a Polish girl yesterday who freely admitted that she didn't pay any tax.   I hadn't even asked her about it but she seemed quite proud of the fact.  "Her boyfriend pays loads so she didn't have to" ...apparently.

Is there an implicit sense in the original Q that WG that work for agencies are any more likely to pay tax than their independent counterparts?

I'd doubt it very much.

So they take the money out of your country but they get caught in an enquiry when they want to buy a house?

They might be more likely to get caught by the taxman. However, agencies are "strategic suppliers" to very important people so can't rule out they'll be sort of "protected"

no doubt that it depends on the agency.

they'll only be more likely to get caught based on how they are handling their finances.
much harder to catch people in a cash only game.

Online timsussex

As suggested above its just another cash only business
Some won't pay any tax
Some will declare & pay tax on some of their earnings

None will declare it all
