Thai women are generally settled with homes and possibly husbands/boyfriends/a family and work from one shop. Yes I would have to agree with that assumption.  Thai's do tend to have some sort of training in massage where as the majority of Chinese don't.  Thais tend to charge more for extras and seem to be more money driven.

 I have found that most Chinese girls in TCM can do reasonable massage but are keener than the Thais to move on to more sexual such as b2b and are usually younger.

Most Thai shops have a significant legit massage business for males and females, which they don't want to jeopardise, hence the more secretive approach. I think most of the proprietors know what goes on, but they need to be able to deny all knowledge if necessary.
