I take my punting phone, cash and keys. Everything else gets left in the car.

Offline northface

As stupid as other members will say i am, my main phone is what I use to punt, other than that I have my car keys, correct money, I may sometimes take my wallet with me, but it only has my bankcard in.

Ive no girlfriend or wife to hide stiff from or id have a 2nd phone

Phones on silent when I get to the door, stiff is in my pockets rolled up as I usually have a quick rinse and stiff is where I can see it
Same here in that I use my main phone to punt but do take extra money just in case something is offered  ( like Anal for £30 for example )
Its been done to death about using your main phone but personally I would find hiding a punting phone much more of a hassle and knowing my luck I would forget I had it on charge and it being found. Hiding the blue pills is enough for me.

I erase the calls and texts after the punt and the few numbers I like to keep are in my contacts list but as work colleagues.
I am also known for only putting my phone on when I need to use it which can be just a few times a week so no suspicions are raised about being uncontactable by the family. After all we managed many years without them. We assess our own risks.

I don't understand the "if it looks dodgy I would not take phone in" approach - if I think it is dodgy I would not be putting myself in there?  Frankly if some knife carrying "boyfriend" turns up I would want the ability to dial 999 whilst cowering in the bathroom - I am made for fucking not fighting.

I think I made the first reference to a risky punt. What I meant by that was that in that particular circumstance, where I would have my main phone and wallet about my person as I did not have my car, that I would only book a well known escort with a decent reputation, I wouldn't book a random off VS with a high chance of being B&S.

In any circumstance where I felt unsafe I would be walking away and canceling the booking. I also always have my punting phone in my pocket, so would be able to call 999 if required, thankfully that has not been the case so far.

Personally I just take the money. Everything else is hidden in the car. That is house keys, wallet, phones etc.

If you leave everything in the car apart from the money what do you do if she asks you to call when you get to the door or you need to check exact location when walking etc?

If its a reg I am comfortable taking both phones, otherwise the non-punt phone stays in the car.  But even with a reg I would not answer in coming calls or txts. They can wait.

Offline pantywetter

I’ve found there is a bit of honour amongst thieves with punting.

I’ve been at it for nearly 25 years now.  I normally have a bag with a laptop and leave jeans with wallet and phone in the room.  I’ve never had anything pinched.

I’m generally punting fairly high end rather than chavs and streetwalkers, but I still don’t think you need to overly worry.

I take my main phone if its a well reviewed sp but turn it off. Wouldn’t want to butt dial my boss mid punt.

 :D

or the wife / GF!  ;)

Offline signy

As ever - it depends.

Car travel, then everything stays in the car except for car key, watch, glasses, punting phone and cash fee. Sometimes put valuables in a small bag and bury in boot; car thieves have a limited search time.

Train travel, then personal phone, wallet, reading matter, etc. all have to go on the punt and kept safe.

Don't know what you guys are complaining about. Perfectly reasonable to take one's work phone to the punt, we can't miss any important business calls - after all we gotta earn the money to pay for punts. I sometimes take my laptop and work on some figures whilst recharging my batteries. Here's a recent picture of me with a prossie...

Salvador Dali? Yes, very odd indeed. I read a lot about him, he's one of my favourite artists - I love surrealism. He was brilliant, an accomplished artist but utterly bonkers.

To summarise, we all take a different approach?

Offline advent2016

I have personal and several work phones.

I have a punting phone
I never user the punting near the others - I'm worried about meta-data capture. All phones being in the same cell / wifi access point. Maybe I'm a bit more risk averse than others.

Punt preparation  - My personal / work phones are all off and probably locked up somewhere.

On a punt.
I have my punting phone (virtual pre-pay credit card on phone. It's dual SIM), travelcard, Cash required, maybe some loose change for parking or a KitKat.
I can make an emergency call from my sim2 that appears as my personal or primary work number. All calls to my other phones go to voicemail.

For me, nothing is more important than me getting my cock sucked. Any world event can wait.

Hello. Yes. Initially, several community members however were pretty shocked that people don't go only with their punting phone. Different strokes for different folks, as I said.  :drinks:

To summarise, we all take a different approach?

Inevitably yes. There are numerous threads on the punting phone topic which help educate us so we can then carry out our own overall risk assessment taking into account the multitude of possible events and outcomes.

Before I retired, I sometimes had to be contactable in an emergency, so had to have my phone with me and switched on. I did have to take an occasional call, but most contact was non urgent and by text which could wait.

I would add something into the mix and that is those who punt with no means of ID. Not great for the emergency services should you meet with an unexpected medical emergency or you get hit by a bus etc  :D

I take both my phones and a pared down wallet none of which ever leave my sight, using your own phone in a punt is quite bizarre.

So you think it's OK to take phone calls on your personal phone when in a booking with an escort? Seems very bizarre to me.  :unknown:

I leave my phone in the car and park a few streets away possibly near a business address incase the wife looks on her phone to see my location, to give me a fighting chance I was in a meeting

Offline magnetico

Prudent. I need it for calling though. I mean, I believe that if your phone is in airplane mode, that doesn't actually mean you aren't "traceable" i.e sim can still attempt to connect to network towers, so a thorough search still leaves you findable. From wife or long-term GF, foolproof way..

Your GF sent a subpoena to a phone operator to get the cell tower records of a town, in order to track where you've been?

I think you're making this up

Offline bob_mm

Well, I'm not making anything up as I haven't claimed that that has happened to me. I am just saying that if a person wanted to go such extents, unfortunately carrying both phones together would be enough to establish the fact that a punt may have occurred if you connect to either of the phones at the WG's/at her door.  :drinks:

Offline Bluelight85

For me as much I would like to avoid taking my normal phone I don’t really have much choice as it’s when I am sneaking out and telling the other half that I’m either at work or shopping that I go for a punt, however when I’m at the punt my normal phone is at least in airplane mode (the excuse being the signal was shit where I was) or even switched off, and I also leave inside trouser pocket or hidden in my shoe or something during the punt and I do pretty much the reverse for when I am at home for the punting phone - although I tend to hide this with much greater care !! :P

Only the police can subpoena a phone operator for cell tower records, and no one is talking about police investigations in this thread.

Why the airplane mode ? In case the prossie picks up a call from your girlfriend while in the shower ?
It sounds even more suspicious to be in airplane mode.

No, it’s quite literally because I just don’t want it ringing at all whether silent or not. And it just saves me going through the setting of turning vibrate off .etc, and also like I say it’s easier to say the signal was shite as opposed to answering the question of “why don’t you pick up - I called you twenty times !!”

I renewed my vodaphone contract this morning.  No changes and a cheap tariff, but they offered me an additional cheap smart phone for free to use for backup if my main one packs up.  It occurred to me that if caught with a second phone as  a punting burner, this is a great excuse for having it.  Just say your provider called to offer you one and you took it.

Would work well until the Mrs asks to borrow it because hers is a bit dodgy.

Offline Snagbadjer

I take mine, as I don't always drive to a punt. I prefer to walk there from a mile away or suss out the area. I'm not leaving my phone in the car in some shit hole like Scunthorpe or Doncaster, where I've had meets.

Once inside the house or flat, I put the phone inside my shoe along with my keys. And I keep them very close to the bed. Call it paranoid, but I've heard stories of punters having their clothes pinched and then blackmailed before having them returned. For the same reason, I won't take a shower at the SP's place.

Also, people are way to quick to use the "troll" thing. It's a bit boring and predictable. Not every little question or line of thinking is some kind of dig at someone else, so please get over yourself.

Interesting...Out of curiosity, taking your clothes with you into the bathroom is a no? Why so?

ALWAYS take your clothes with you to the bathroom - stops anyone going through your pockets and nicking wallet / cash / keys / phone

THIS ^

Not just going through your stuff, but someone could take photos of the credit card while you shower. Then you could be in for a nasty surprise next time you check your credit card statement.

Ideally I take as little as possible to a punt. I only carry the cash I need for it, no more, no less. And the phone I used to organize the punt (i have 2 dual sim phones, v useful having multiple numbers). Then there's nothing to steal.

Offline Punting2022

I take both. A escort has enough money in her place to not nick a phone or so. Plus the fact you can report her if shes nicked it. Also stolen phones can be blocked etc. Most have find my device on too

I’ve took a shower after a meet, learning the lesson to take your clothes with you, I think I was £60 missing when I finally got home and checked, I’d already left so couldn’t question the girl, took it as a “don’t do it again you twat” moment.
