I'm not certain the police would even be interested - isn't this a civil, not criminal, matter? You paid for a service which was not delivered and you want your money back. That sounds like commercial breach of contract. Anyone here with legal knowledge like to comment on my view?

They would be interested and it is a criminal matter, See my above post about the Fraud Act 2006.

That is not true.

Let's face it, you have been incredibly naive here. Best not to dwell on it too much though as, unfortunately, with the best will in the world, you won't get be getting your money back (sorry to be blunt but that's the way it obviously seems). You will just have to put it down to experience and move on I'm afraid.

I suspect when we first start punting we all fall for some trick or other. I, for instance, fell for the classic “bait and switch”..instead of walking paid top money for a WG I didn’t really fancy. Just daft.

But deep down I think best policy is to just take these reverses “on the chin”. Don’t make same mistake next time, but don’t get involved in some epic campaign to get even.

Too many things can go wrong...the reality is so different to many of the tales we see recounted from time to time. “I knocked out the first pimp with an uppercut to jaw..”. Yea...maybe, or maybe not.

And reality is...as one of my punting mentors explained years ago: “if you’re worried about spunking away large amounts of money, find another hobby”.

Not at all. Let's just say I've been intimately involved with the legal profession for the past 35 years and leave it at that, eh?  ;)

Then you should know the police will tell him to get lost.

The police do not care less if someone comes and steals your car from outside your house and there is a council CCTV camera pointing at the direction of the car.

They are not going to do a single thing about this than give you a crime reference number and file it.

If you are trying to suggest otherwise you are either lying about that, or your 35 years experience.

If you are burgled and they find the prints of a known local burglar ON YOUR DOOR they won't do anything.

This is because the burglar will plead that he was lost and knocked on your door to get directions.
And this will prove sufficient defence for him to get off.

You can all guess how I know this.

And like I said, if your car is stolen and there is a council CCTV camera pointing right at the direction where you parked your car. The police will do naff all and not even look at that video.

Create another account, then make a booking. That way you'll find her address. :)

Yes, that’s what I’d do, fucking skank.

Bang on.
Who's this wannabe convincing?
Once I witnessed an assault right beside a PC and they told the victim to sit in a station, get a reference number and it was filed into big black hole.

They won't do fuck all even if you put everything on their lap.

I have paid a deposit by bank transfer to a Dominatrix.

She never used to ask for deposits but one day she had four bookings and no one showed up, a whole day wasted.

There is a difference between paying a deposit to a well established woman and a lowlife skank on Adultwork.

Offline drillaaaa

Can you elaborate on how it came about to you bank transferring her when it states clearly cash on meet? No dig just  curious...

Also contrary to what everyones saying you CAN infact get your money back, this will require a chargeback being rasied from your bank, they're not going to do it in 1 day or 7, as they will give the seller of the goods (in this case her pussy) 30 days to deliver the services you were sold... Be sure to speak with them about this tomorrow, obviously will be awkward explaining to them the product/service you ordered looooool but yea you can perform a chargeback and get your money back.

How much was it for mate ?

I've seen it claimed on SAAFE by SP's that they quite often demand deposits, and never having come across it myself had wondered if it was common in a particular area. I can understand travelling expenses to an outcall, or anything special you are expecting a SP to provide for a meeting, but otherwise not.

For what’s worth, Jim, I agree that in some cases “legit WG’s” (can’t think of a better phrase) ask for a deposit. And if I really wanted to see a particular one I might consider paying.

But it’s a judgment call. And for those starting out in hobby, best rule of thumb I think is to regard any request for a bank transfer before is very, very probably a scam.

The police nowadays is mostly investigating murders and offensive comments on Twitter, not fraud and theft.

Offline NIK

Has the scamming cunt moved? Because it says Kent on the profile, but her crap reviews are Coventry.

Offline NIK

I learned very quickly that AW feedback is basically a load of bollocks - full of fake reviews and negative reviews are rarely included by the escort (or if they are, the escort always blames the punter for the bad experience. Ever notice how it's never the escort's fault for the bad service?). Alarm bells should be ringing when there's huge numbers of positive reviews for something and not one single negative review.

To give an analogy: Do you ever see a product on Amazon with ZERO negative reviews? It's basically unheard of that a product with 100+ reviews is going to leave everyone satisfied. There will always be a few people who were dissatisfied. Therefore, why should it be any different with an escort? Basic common sense should tell you this.

As for your situation - contact your bank, contact the police, post her bank details publicly on the internet wherever you can, give a negative review of her on here. Do everything you can, worth a shot at getting your money back. Although I doubt you will do unfortunately.

Anyone who asks for money over the internet is trying to scam you. Without question. This includes escorts asking for a "deposit" or escorts who request you to go on cam before you meet up. It's all designed to scam you out of your cash without actually delivering the services you requested.

Totally agree with this. There are nearly always a couple of one or two star reviews even if there are dozens of five star ones. I always look at the negative reviews first, if only for a laugh.

Mind you, half the time on Amazon many negative reviews are from thick twats who don't know how to use the review sytem properly and give bad reviews for poor service or receiving damaged goods. Instead of using the Amazon complaints system they give poor reviews for the product itself, thereby bringing the overall score down, even though their poor reviews aren't for the product itself. Despite being told ad infinitum that the review system is for the product rather than the service or the state of the product the stupid bastards continue to do this.  :dash:

Spot on, also often reviews aren't even for the right product, this happens countless times with reviews of cds, some even give the track listing in the review which doesn't match the cd advertised at all. That's if there is a track listing on the advertised cd, sometimes there isn't and I can only identify the tracks by matching the cd cover on Google and finding what songs are on it on their.

Yes, I did say earlier that as a general rule you don't pay deposits.  :hi: :hi:

I’ve thought about this before, and I have a plan which I’m willing to share. Nothing special. It all depends on if the girl is still working after you’ve been scammed. But I would buy a new SIM card, put on a slightly different voice, sound sincere and make a booking (obviously refuse to pay bank transfer this time if she asks)
Then show up feeling brave, I would take someone with me and tell them to wait in the car.
Obviously if the girl is no longer taking bookings then it’ll be very hard to do something about it.
Sorry you got done, not nice.

1) If her modus operandi is to insist on bank transfers upfront, how are you going to skip around this minor detail?  :unknown:
2) OK, you show up "feeling brave" with a mate  in the car. And... ?
