Very much how it's been up here in Aberdeen for a long time now, since well before pandemic.  Had a couple of cracking punts lately but so many days it's just look, find nothing or find BS, abandon it.  It's so wearing, seems so pointless and frustrating - even the good punts I had are like panning for gold.  SO much work to pay off just those few times.  Feel a bit like ecosse1984 too -- may just give up on the hobby soon.

Haven't really been looking by price point, just browsing generally. Noticed the huge upswing in prices that's happened lately - problem is that it's not alwyas accompanying upswings in quality! Lots of ones with shit reviews trying charging a fortune now too!

The price increase is a strange one to me TBH, I would have not expected it given that inflation is so bad - that would make me think there was less money in your average punter's pocket, not more, and paying for pussy is a luxury for sure - one of hte first thing I'd have thought would get cut back.

Most sustained price increases usually just boil down to  supply and demand. Fewer girls escorting and more men willing to pay a higher price for sex.

Could be multiple reasons why there are fewer girls... scared off during the pandemic, brexit, or a lot more opportunities to make money online  (like Onlyfans, Instagram etc)

Not Teeside, as I have only had bad experiences punting there, but the rest of the Northeast if much better than Scotland for quality and price. I only punted in Scotland occasionally for variety, as I visit regularly with work.

Maybe? Not sure what I could do differently -- same thing I always do, and it works usually.  I'm always polite and upfront if I text.  The calls just weren't answered so not sure how I could offend that way!  Maybe just a bad day?  Or maybe I am doing something wrong, who knows? 

edit: Always open for tips and advice from other punters on how to do it.  If I'm texting, I just say somehting like, "Hi, I'd like to see you for an hour this afternoon if you're available?" or "Hello, are you free for 30 minutes at 3pm?"  (Pretty much one of those two verbatime each time TBH).  If I call, it's teh same thing.  I keep it light and friendly in tone of voice.

The online hassle is inevitably wearying, though UKP search facility combined with Kluck’s plugin certainly helps. Bit if you want a half hour session you can spend longer than that working out if it will be worthwhile and that’s before you get into the phoning and hoping for a timely reply. At that point you are fairly committed even without a face to face. Prices, IMO, for such a merry-go-round are ridiculous. Meeting civvies is loaded with work suggestions that “all men are predators” to be overcome. No wonder do many are driven to a far less healthy solitary wank!

It’s been so long since I even thought about it, that it took me a minute or two to work out what an SW was..

The trade all moved down towards the river late 80’s/early 90’s , I think, and pretty much consisted of desperate addicts with missing teeth.
Early 00’s it got moved east to Glasgow Green/Barras area.

Now that I think about it, I was approached by a really wretched looking soul while having a fag with a pal outside a restaurant near the Clyde a couple of years ago. She probably wasn’t even working as such, think we gave her a tenner and 1/2 packet of fags just out of sympathy..

l wasn't active at all around about that time but l think the drag, as it was called , was cleaned up in advance of the commonwealth games in 2014.It was tolerated at the time but they have never returned this then apart from the odd straggler you see sometimes but they are quickly moved on.As it stands, there is no street scene in glasgow now and no sauna/massage parlours.God knows where the drug abusers ply their trade now as personally, l have never come across any in my punting travels although l'm sure a lot of us have.

The fringe of the active area was usually the best, part timers who didn’t want to be too obvious, housewives and the occasional student. Yes, there were druggies to be avoided as well, usually scattered among the main area by the bus station. The fuzz early on could be sympathetic if they were trying to catch a thief, they weren’t interested in harassing punters — or even prossies that stayed in the tolerance zone. It was sensible policing, just keeping an eye on things and trying to stop crime in the ordinary sense of the word.

Glasgow Green and the Barras picked up concurrently as far as I could tell. Different time of day. There were less places to session in the Green and the fuzz didn’t like you using the bushes in case someone saw. The fuzz would issue warnings saying all the prossies were druggies (which clearly wasn’t true, but might have been for the ones they saw). Then they started getting a bit stroppy with motorists. Admittedly it could be a traffic violation if you were cruising around really slowly. The best thing was to do a couple of circuits normal speeds to try to clock the fuzz cars and then avoid them. It became safer to park and walk around a bit.

Glasgow, as we all know now, fucked up a bit by not introducing needle exchange. They had everything else, a drop-in centre, a soup truck; but serious illegal drugs without serious support tend to bring about crime. There were several murders and that may have been the impetus to clamp down on the prostitution.

You can see how punters, social workers, police and politicians all see prostitution from very different angles. To some it’s just statistics. The worst cases become the most prominent. At the other end are those quietly going about their business and are almost off the radar.
