Anyone got any fun/interesting none punting web sites to recommend to help pass the time?

I like buzzfeed for a variety of things

As I read this I thought only a little light reading then  :P. I do not know Buzzfeed, however, I was KO'd by Counterpunch which is very political

True! buzzfeed is a real mix and often fun! yes conterpunch is political and tried to be seen as an alternative to msm...they are also offering free ebooks if want a long political read!  :lol:

If you like reading but don't mind sifting through some rubbish you could try External Link/Members Only

Lots of free stories with (mainly) and without sex. A fair number badly written, but a good number of gems. Use the "Top Lists" to get an idea of what is good or the forum for recommendations. I keep an eye out for submissions for a number of authors that I know produce stories worth reading.

You will need to sign up to join, but there are both free and paid subscriptions, I have been using a free one for years.

I`ve decided to re-read Scott`s Waverley Novels starting with Vol.1 and working right through to Vol. 53.  At my normal rate of reading that should just about see me nicely through the next 4 months or so.

i recently discovered External Link/Members Only

This has over 5 million books you can download. I have a windows laptop and use calibre e book management for organising and reading those I download. On my android phone I use ReadEra.

Very diverse material available and all free - what's not to like. I have downloaded crime novels, sports autobiographies etc.

Hope this is useful.

Had a quick look and yeah seems a very useful site. Wonder how they can do that for free?

I know you have commented on the thread about movies freeze - I used to use this site all the time, it's been around for ages.

Test your movie knowledge - It's smut free so can be enjoyed by all  :D
