As for watching porn. I’d definitely say I watch less porn nowadays than I did when I was younger. The porn I do watch has to be quite specific. I can’t just watch people shagging. It’s boring.
Does watching porn then entice me to punt. No not really. I tend to go through phases and for no intelligent reason find I have gone quite a while without paying for it, then suddenly have a few punts in a short span of time.
Not sure I would reference punting to being down a rabbit hole. It suggests you (or we) as punters. Would be unable to stop even if we wanted too.

Of course being in an accident where you had your knob chopped off might help sway your decision making 😂

I punt much less than I used to for sure, but that is not due to not enjoying it, it is more down to different priorities with my £££

Maybe it also depends on your past experience. For me, 2016 - to just before Covid, was one of the best times. Lots of girls, prices were reasonable, and many EE and EU girls popped over to earn some cash. And I also had a few regulars who were super dependable. Now that the regulars have retired, there are fewer choices and prices are much more expensive, I find myself asking why I should pay 50% plus for quality that is, say, 50% less. Maybe the "good ol' days" will not return, but remembering them, and seeing what is available now, I just feel "ripped off". But if I was just starting now, and did not have those past reference points, maybe I would think the scene today is pretty good. Again, I think one's perception is coloured by one's experience.

Yes of course we have memories of times gone past but they are times gone past!  We live in the "now" not in 2016 or whatever. so its quite easy, if you find whatever is available now not to your taste or too expensive etc - stop and spend your money on something else!

Like I said. I can quite easily go a month or two without the punting need. Maybe longer if I’m on a trip or three. Then just say to myself I’ll punt whenever I feel like.

Example…………. This week I’ve punted twice. But could possibly go all of next month without it.

I quite agree about variety etc.

But I think most guys who visit their regs (me included) do so because of one simple reason.
They obviously enjoy what they get.

You make it sound so simple. The truth is we are all addicted to some degree. I said it before. "The devil has us by the balls and he ain't letting go for anyone."

It can be like kids in a candy store for sure...

...but with regulars you build up a level of trust and respect for each other and than can/does lead to better playtime. They know how to push the right buttons.

There is no right or wrong answer. I 100% in my early days was that kid in the candy store but as I have got older I think regulars have become more common for me.

I definitely think that porn can be like that. Once upon a time a naked fit girl was enough then the abundance of options gets you becoming more and more niche until one day you are jacking off to busty Colombian woman peeling oranges with their feet (or whatever  )

With punting it’s always a case that there will be another girl along next month and the variety keeps me happy.

I am 87, recoverng from a TURP op but "remarkably fit" said my surgeon. I spend a fair amount of time planning what I'll do when I am fit again. A retired whore with the filthiest mind I've ever come across sends me regular messages and just now a video about what we'll do in a couple of weeks. I'm putting her on a retainer. I'll be astonished if we don't involve someone else.

Prices aint the same post covid that has stopped me alot, I also see regulars less because of this.

There was a topic on “will prices increase because of covid”. I said go lower,now in Essex it’s expensive and rough mum bods wanting £100 for 30 minutes.Not interested in that.
