Are escort meets even legal during COVID restrictions?

I've noticed throughout the entire COVID restrictions that there have been no shortage of escorts operating and still meeting. What is the legality of meeting escorts during COVID restrictions? I assume, being a non-essential service, and being incredibly high-risk for transmission, and zero contact-tracing ability, that it would be utterly illegal and punished with a hefty fine.

I've noticed the media have been up in arms, shrieking about and writing articles about every "COVIDiot" that dares to not wear a mask on a bus. But I've never seen any articles lambasting escorts that continue to operate. Have I missed this?

Do escorts have some immunity to prosecution during the COVID restrictions?
If so, do clients have the same sort of immunity as escorts?
