Author Topic: How far do you travel?  (Read 1151 times)

My 'to do' list for next year is looking a bit thin. So far I've visited parlours within an hours drive, but it looks as if I'll have to spread the net a bit wider. I just wondered how far you considered reasonable to go in the prospect of a good punt.

Well, while researching the Reasonably-Priced MILFs along the M62, my average journey time is about an hour door to door when it's my turn to go east through the Pennines. It's less, of course, when I stay in the old Lancashire.

It's a longer time on the way back from either cos I have to stop for something to eat to replace the calories I've just burned off. :D

Then there's the punt itself - 1 hour minimum - so we're probably talking 4 hours all told.

Good job I'm retired and without an OH, eh?!

I hardly see what difference it makes unless you post the question in the relevant area. I look first for prossies within walking distance, but I live in Edinburgh.

Punting is a hobby. You travel as far as the inclination takes you.

I live in the western edge of London within easy reach of the M4, M25 and A40, but not close to a Tube station. The furthest I've travelled is probably to Horsham to visit Passionate Penny (now retired) on a couple of occasions, it took about 1.5 hours. If a punt is worth it, I'll do a similar amount of travelling.

I envy you HA!

I drive to most of my punts and regard 80 miles as the absolute most.
Also this year I intend to be wary of any punt that requires time on the A406
Londoners will know what I mean about that fucking road

+1.

there are girls all over the country who interest me, but I don't travel outside London, as I can't be bothered. They might tour some day, if not, plenty more fish in the sea. I like to go in, have my fun, and get the fuck out as quickly as possible. It’s much easier hopping on a tube back to wherever I need/want to be than finding myself in the middle of Nottingham or somewhere.

Nothing wrong with long distance travel, if you don’t mind the additional time and money input. I imagine  it's more frustrating if the punt turns out badly, though.

Exactly. This is a hobby & up to the individual how much time/effort they wish to invest in travelling. At a guess though, I'd say the average punter casts a rather shallow net & like visiting a supermarket, puts convenience at the top of the list on the whole.

I combine with business so the most I have gone is about 180 miles one way.
I try and get them within 20 miles, so can be there in no time.

I have to travel to Cardiff or Bristol normally to punt, and I travel by train.  So between 20-40 miles.  Furthest I have travelled is Swansea, also by train.  Would be prepared to travel a little further if possible.

It really depends what part of the country you are in,  eg large city, medium sized town, rural village in the south, rural village in the north  or highlands and islands , but the area to cover would often be greater, the less population there is in the area, or nearby.

I live in a fairly well populated town but will still travel over an hour to most punts  (either because of traffic jams around/ near the cities or slow public transport if using that method or just to get a bit further to visit a girl which is well reviewed on ukp).  I have travelled for more than 6 hours specifically  for a punt  - and that is one way, but that is very rare.  Mostly up to 90 mins.

I would add, before using ukp i would only travel about 45 mins  - distance wise - to a punt, and i also wouldnt punt in my home town.  (the 2nd bit still applies!)

Should we all be wary in 2018 as well?

I must say i have used the road, to get to punts occasionally, always try and go as off peak (but social hours) as i possibly can!  Have managed getting along that road all the way between Ilford and Ealing (both directions) without too much delay this year.

I would limit a journey to 50-60 miles tops but these days I get the train because the last time I took my Jaguar out for a trip like this it got vandalized (no doubt by some bitter jealous person who probably can't afford a car) and it cost me thousands of pounds to get it repaired. NEVER AGAIN will I drive to see an escort plus train journeys are cheaper in the long run in my honest opinion.

The North Circular is my least favourite road, but I use it for work in E14. That's my maximum distance in terms of punt driving as if anything goes wrong (like a speeding or parking ticket), I have an alibi

As little as possible.  Prefer to see girls in my home town or if im travelling for work, close to where ever i am.  Theres plenty of whores knocking about, no need to waste time and money travelling

I punted on Tue evening (It was a repeat punt so I didn't bother to review).
It was a great copulation - and I left there (Ealing) with a silly grin..
Took me 3.5hrs to get back thanks to the 406 being fucked.
My point is that I so consistently have such a shitty time on the 406 that it dampens the post punt rosy glow. Which defeats the object of the exercise.

I hate the 406 too. One of my most hated roads in London. Try to use it as least as possible.

As little as possible, usually up to 10 miles.

There is one woman 50 miles away who is, frustratingly, worth it.  But that does mean that a 60 min booking tends to gobble up around 4 hours in total, which is quite a chunk of the day to hide....

I like them as close as possible, the nearest is 1/2 mile from my house. The furthest I travel is 5 miles, there's plenty of top quality one's within that distance, no need to go further.

Offline Wolverhampton1990

I like to stay relitavely close to home when possible as it's easier to get away when traveling time is short and I have good excuse to be passing through the area. The furthest I've traveled has been 55 miles door-to-door, a couple of punts around 20 miles away, with the rest within a mile or so of my house. Lack of options lately seem to have forced me to cast my proverbial punting net a little further afield though.

Bit OT sorry, but don't people call it the North Circular any more? Used to be the normal term when I was in London.

I travelled specificly to Portsmouth from Watford to see this forums favourite ginger, 84 miles each way.

Well worth it  :yahoo:

Mainly locally, within 20 to 30 miles of the centre of Cardiff. Have had in the past an itch to travel to bristol...but the £6 odd toll bridge fee puts me off... :D. However, this will go soon in 2018..so more trips to Briz is on the cards  :yahoo:

I have to travel no matter what service I am after FS or massage. There is only one advertised WG where I live and she is as mad as a box frogs and it's only a small town. Otherwise the nearest are about 12 miles away, about for WG's and a Thai massage. (None brilliant except for relief of blue balls)
As I have to travel anyway I do count myself rather fortunate in my choices. In UKP terms I live in the East Mids although I am six miles away from the Northwest region, eight miles from the West Midlands and around fifteen miles from Yorkshire. So within an hour, I have I suppose, as good a choice as most. All the regions seem to have their own small differences.

20-60 miles but that’s down to my home location to get anywhere I have to travel...

Distance and time is no problem for me. I live in the West Midlands and will travel anywhere. My first meet for 2018 is in Wallsend a distance of 185 miles and I will get there by train and Metro. I will start off at 7.00 am and get back at 9.00 pm. As well as a great punt I will enjoy travel, perhaps a visit to a museum and certainly a decent meal with half a bottle of Merlot. I am looking forward to lots more long distant punts in 2018. Have railcard, will travel.
