Why don't you ask at the GUM clinic when you have your regular check-up, you do have regular checks don't you?? If not ask some other medical professional, they are the ones who know for sure. You have no way of knowing how accurate any information posted here is.

Viruses live for a matter of seconds on the hands. Add in lube... well depends on the lube. But the chances are so infinitesimally small it's not realistic for a virus. To have that brief a contact cause an effect, for most STDs the WG would have a viral load that would cause obvious symptoms (you'd smell it, a pungent fishy or cheesy smell, never mind how the discharge would look).

Hep B however is a hardy virus, it can survive a week in dried blood at room temp (20C). If you're going to see WGs you should get vaccinated, and it doesn't always take the first time. So you do need to have your response checked.
