Hi

I'm arranging a dinner date and it will be just a dinner date by the way (don't ask, that's how I want it!)

I've been asked to give a deposit as well as my full name and address.

I've never been asked to do this. As it's just a dinner date it seems a bit unnecessary.

Is it an odd thing for her to ask?

I have met the lady before but not for a one to one booking and I'm not worried about being ripped off.

Offline hillingdonpete

Dont do it.
You should be worried about being ripped off.

I know what you mean but I really don't think I will be.

I'm more concerned about the name and address bit.

Sounds like you're being lined up for dinner for one son .

I cannot imagine that a single person will tell you to do it, but it seems to me that you will anyway.

Good luck and report back, I  wont say "told you so" but I will have a good laugh.

Offline NelsonH

As soon as ANYTHING out of the ordinary happens before the meeting, BACK-OFF.

It used to be funny games in phone-boxes, now its meeting in car-parks,  on-line vouchers,  money transfers, stuff with phones.

All this is unusual and UNNECESSARY, so don't go along with it.

I do understand where you're all coming from and I appreciate the responses.

I haven't been told the amount for the deposit and I don't mind providing my name (which would become apparent when making the deposit) but I'm a little concerned about the full address.

If the deposit required is excessive then I definitely won't go ahead.

I really don't wanna be a dick, but seriously why someone would need your full and real name and address?
If you really want to lose some money, PM me and will give you one of my bank account numbers and you will only lose the money.

+1 to all that's been said. Asking for your (real) name and address is particularly worrying. You've not given enough context to determine whether it's high, medium or low risk but it seems to me that you'd be better off not taking any risks here.

Your answering your own question.
You’ve met the lady before and your not worried about being ripped off.

So it’s up to you.

I just think it strange she should want your real name and address. It’s only dinner after all.

God whatever happened to the good old days when a dinner would get you your leg over.

Nowadays you gotta pay a fuckin deposit.

Forget the money for a minute. Exposing personal details like this is dangerous. Why not just tell her you're happy paying a deposit but not sharing your personal details. Alternatively give her a purchase order and ask for a VAT invoice.

Thanks for your response. If I pay a deposit then won't she find out my full name anyway?

There are plenty of ways to pay a deposit without using your real name, I'm not talking crypto but something way easier for the average guy to use.
Just don't think of your bank account.

Thanks. In what ways can deposits be paid without revealing your name?

I've been asked to make the payment via PayPal.

If she's a well established, well reviewed girl, it's less likely she's going to scam you or try blackmail you afterwards - it would damage her business. If she's an unknown romanian who you've gangbanged once, then there much higher risk of dodgy behaviour
If you are obscenely wealthy, married and she knows it, a girl + pimp (if she has one) might be prepared to leverage this against you
However, if you're an average joe and single with little to lose, then she might not bother.

These are just some of the things you should consider when weighing up whether any decision you make has a high, medium or low chance of biting you in the ass. Some people will take no risks; others are prepared to play loose. As others have mentioned, only you can decide. Personally, I struggle to think of the circumstances where I'm be ok with sharing my name and address with a SP.

Oh and of course do a review at some point. Woulds be nice to give something back to UKP, eh?

Are you on a wind up?

No, I'm serious.

The only other time I've ever paid a deposit before was over 15 years ago and that was by cheque!

I very rarely use PayPal and have never received a payment by PayPal so I don't know if the payer's name appears.

My first meeting with an escort was a 2-hour lunch date for which I got a bit of flak on here ("Why pay to watch a prossie to shovel food into her gob" etc.). I let her choose the restaurant but didn't pay any deposit. One thing you have to watch out for though is giving too much personal information out in what is a very long time to spend chatting to a stranger. Although I quite liked the booking, I do think it's worth considering whether this is really what you want. Would looking up an old friend/former colleague and taking them out to dinner be more satisfying overall? Or just head to the local coffee shop and chat up some random woman who looks friendly

Hell NO !

It's dinner not a overnight stay at your house

Sounds like black mail

Never give out your address or your full name

Alternatives to deposit are a top up voucher or
An Amazon gift card voucher with a scratch off panel on back from supermarket

95% escorts who ask for a deposit will understand
And most only ask for under £50 deposit if she's asking 50% tell her to get lost !

Best of luck

Hope she's worth all this hassle

Yes, of course. I'd be happy to provide reviews. But as you can probably tell I don't do this very often and most of my bookings are for fetish stuff which I didn't think would interest people much on here.

Hi, the booking is what I want but I'm just concerned about what I'm being asked to provide ahead of it.

I'd be really interested from anyone to hear how the deposit can be paid without revealing my name.

Pretty sure it's not anon unless you've taken steps to make it so - I wouldn't .

Amazon vouchers are anonymous and with Xmas approaching she'll have plenty of opportunities to spend it. If she wants a bank transfer forget it. Perhaps compromise on the location so it's convenient for her?

Well, the date is in her home town! (If it goes ahead)

I have a very suspicious nature and I would be thinking she wants you address so her mates know you're out so they can screw your house.

Can't help with the deposit, I would never pay one.

Perhaps you should let other people be the judge of that. Your previous posts show you've asked lots of questions about different AW girls who have also been reviewed here, so you likely have common interests with other UKP members. All you've done in your 3 years on UKP is to take.

Offline RedKettle

You have a bunch of very experienced punters telling you a deposit is incredibly unusual and that it is stupid. We all have our own parameters for risk but personally I think it would be daft to ignore the weight of advice you are getting.

I had to giggle the first time I read your message because I thought you said it was likely I have common interests with other UKIP members!

Just out of curiousity, if payments can be made anonymously then wouldn't be possible to just provide a false name and address? How would the WG be able to verify it?

Is it an odd thing for her to ask?

I have met the lady before but not for a one to one booking and I'm not worried about being ripped off.

Have you asked her why she wants a deposit, and your name.

Could be a very simple reason for this, who is making the booking for the dinner, and could a deposit for the table be required

Another reason, your not seeing the escort for sex, but for dinner, maybe she dosnt want money passing hands in public

Thanks for the response. I would be booking the dinner. The deposit would always be for less than the total fee so money would still pass hands at some point during the meeting.

Is there any chance you can name her, as it might shed more light on her, especially if she has been reviewed

It's easy to pass over the cash inside a book or magazine. I can't think why she's asked him for his name and address if he's meeting her in a public place in her home town.

Admin, feel free to delete this.

If I didn't want to get screwed that's what I would do.
Hypothetically,
I would create my own paypal account A with real name and address, link card and add money to balance.
This account would send money AS GIFT to another account B registered with different IP address, device and of course a fake address and NAME.
Account B sends money as deposit to WG.

You can only lose money this way, your identity and address will be safe.

A PayPal account with fake name and address? I thought PayPal would have to do some standard KYC to comply with financial regs.

nope, for small amounts you don't need to verify. You should anyway verify email address and phone (burner).
when you reach 1k or so depending on the country you will be asked to verify name and address

I did a google search and found this:

Paypal allows you to register for an account with a fictitious name or nickname (though your full name is preferred). Add your anonymous email account to the list of email addresses associated with the account. You can then send money to the recipient's email address from that anonymous address

Offline theoldmaggot

Nah man, don't do it  :dash: :dash:

You may not care now because your single but what about the future? When you got a wife and kids? Once they got your name and address..that's it...

Think with your head..not the Tadger.

Just an update: I've texted her and said that I'm happy to pay a deposit but not share my personal details.

I've had loads of bookings with someone she has worked with before and I said that I'm sure this person would vouch for me.

No response yet but it is late at night.

I would not do that.
Person receiving the money (WG) will see an email with "Name Surname sent you money"
