I placed a message in the Northern Ireland regional folder in may as below. Not one response. I shall value some shared experiences or discussion. I shall be there early in November staying in a Belfast city centre hotel for 3 nights.

I have never been to Northern Ireland and I am considering a visit in connection with my work, later in the year.

Is it safe to do a reverse booking?
Is it safe to do an outcall to a city centre hotel?
As a visitor is it safe to take a cab to an indie?

There are very few contributions to this section compared with other UK regional discussions.

I certainly used this site a few times (before UKP) for visits to Ireland - the republic - and I see 49 references to Belfast! So the earth is not yet flat there, they still have beds.

Never punted in the north of Ireland but have visited Belfast numerous times so hopefully this input will be useful.

I'd be extra vigilant when it comes to booking indies - the laws are different over there and some paramilitary gangs are thought to control certain areas when it comes to prostitutes.

It's a lot more relaxed in the city centre than people expect - well during the day time - if booking an outcall if the SP is experienced she'll know whether its safe to use that particular hotel. It should run as it would in any other city.

Using taxis is perfectly safe but if it was me I'd get the post code for the SP address 24 hours in advance and Google it to see where it comes up on the map. If you've heard the main road the SP lives near by - I.E. Shankil Road - then give it a wide birth.

City Centre - no issue. South Belfast - absolutely fine. East Belfast - should be okay but avoid The Markets and Short Strand. For a first time visitor to Belfast looking to go punting I'd avoid West and North Belfast all together - not the sort of areas you want to draw attention to yourself.

I am as yet undecided. Any lady I contact I shall might ask her about her recent experience before booking. I know that many Dublin ladies used to tour for a week or a weekend in Belfast and vice verse before the law changed. (hehe vice versa geddit .... ). I was many times in the republic but never in the North.

I have punted in Belfast several times when visiting. Several outcalls to my hotel, but a few visits to apartments or another hotel.

With careful research (to get a trustworthy lady) I've had no problems. A couple of them have been wgs touring from England or Scotland, who I knew had a good reputation.

The law has changed now, and I've only had one punt since then. I made sure it was a well known touring lady, in a good chain hotel, so unlikely to have any problems.

I used AW and escort ireland, and vivastreet for one of them as I recall.

Sound advice. Belfast is good fun but you do still have to be a bit street wise. You will find some good indies. Its just a case of doing some homework. Good Luck and enjoy  :drinks:

Agreed, I've always stuck to the city centre or very nearby.

That post about the troubles re BackPage have led me to look at BackPage for Belfast. There seem to be more and better looking ladies and profiles on BackPage than AW.
