So glad I now use a burner phone. I can't recommend it enough.
No more awkward call backs ot random texts.
And  no more threats of reverse searching my number on social media if I don't see them again or pay more money. That actually happend to me.

It was my old phone and just bought a cheap pay as you go sim.
Feel so much safer now even when your just asking questions before arranging a meeting.

What's it like buying one now?

I handed over cash no questions asked a few years ago - did you have to show ID or anything?

Combined with a PAYG sim topped up with cash - completely anonymous. Have things changed in the recent years?

CEX is fairly anonymous or one of the screen repair shops always have lots of 2nd hand phones

If you’re on any local selling groups you’ll easily find a cheap one there. Getting hold of a PAYG sim is easy too - all supermarkets have them. I don’t have a second burner anymore as it was a hassle carrying it around and keeping it charged. I now have a dual sim phone and activate (turn on) the sim when looking to see who is available.

I bought a basic handset and PAYG SIM from Tesco a couple of months ago. Cash, no need for ID.

It's the best way.
Now you can open a separate Google account and start logging everything like an investigator from image and profiles to locations, WhatsApp and message conversations, blocking idiots and keeping a record of the part timers and timewasters, deposits cammers. And having all this information backed up!
...and then be able to confidently shut your punting life away in a draw until YOU are ready again.
BTW, I have no discretion issues with bank accounts and have a monthly sim paying £5 for 200 minutes and unlimited text, 1 gig of data per month which was half price for the first 6 months. Working out at £45 for a year. Ridiculously cheap.

Isn't that a bit dangerous?  I always use a burner phone to arrange a punt but once it's done I erase everything.  You can never be too sure whether it will get found, so if there is nothing on it you won't have any explaining to do.

Women (wife/girlfriend) have a sixth sense, they usually know when somethng is going on but just won't be able to prove it - doesn't stop them looking though.  Ultimately they tend to believe what they want to believe, except when there is evidence to suggest otherwise.

There will always be the female who's either tech savvy or just more intelligent than her 'dumb' other half. If you're married/partnered then it goes without mention that you are taking a risk paying for pussy so you need to live with/accept that. When you are asked for the password for your burner phone you have the option to tell her or not.
If you're looking suspicious then it's game over either way.
I might add that I'm a professional punter and fastidiously record my experiences. I do occasionally relive each one and twist one out.
The occasional punter may have no interest in such detail and deleting all record of such experiences will come naturally.

This is precisely why I stick to using one phone with dual sim card and samsung secure folder to hide all activity. Then there isn't a phone for her to find.

I use Samsung Knox as well but not for punting. Although it might keep data and apps from prying eyes it won't stop a determined cyber auditor (or one employed by a divorce lawyer)
A number of drug dealers / criminals have been caught because they trusted Knox

I'd be interested to know how do you clear your call and message history that is copied to the cloud and if you have automatic device backup enabled.

Why would I need to stop a determined cyber auditor?
If I get caught and divorced, I'd give her half of everything anyway, its the least we can do after years of shagging other women.

Personally I don't bother wiping my call and text history that often, because my phone is locked with pin and biometrics anyway and nobody else ever goes on my phone including the wife.

I do wish you could hide the calls/texts when the 2nd sim is disabled, this is something that has always eluded me.

Things like Android Auto and smart watches are making this life much more difficult.

This is the downside to having one phone and dual sims if you have android auto. I think the latest iPhones can have a sim and a hardware sim, so those are dual sim as well. Same problem exists if your car has Apple Car Play.

I like the idea of dual sims for convenience of not needing a second phone. But it’s too much risk for me because of the car issue.

Offline Whiteknight

I have dual sim for punting and also an e sim for seeking.

Offline bigandslick

I have a single sim phone - Android - I have a PAYG sim bought with cash and I top it when I need to punt.
Some times, when I don't like my meet with the escort - I just buy another PAYG - in case- she didn't like me either
They are free in supermarkets.

Yes, you do need to manually delete call/text history - but that is the least - one can do.
The sim is so small - it's tucked in my work bag - that no body goes through - and sometimes, I struggle to find the sim, in the pocket, I keep it  :D

I find it much easier than carrying a dual phone - hassle and also I have no reason to carry it - so would struggle to explain, why I have it.

The only downside is the topup runs out after a month - so it's need to be topped up again by £10.
I don't punt so very often .. so I just regard it as an extra £10 on top of my punting costs.

Edit: I use Tesco's - so unlimited call & texts and good amount of data.

Indeed. But I am amazed our charming government doesn't ask for ID to buy one these days - given how useful burners are for organized crime, dealing, terrorism etc etc.
(many countries of the world with a whiff of totalitarianism about them need photo id to buy a sim card)

I bought my burner a few years ago and just wanted to make sure nothing had changed.

From the sounds of things - it hasn't

I'm single so just wanted a burner to keep my own number private.  I bought a very basic phone from Argos but soon binned it.  It was taking forever to send a short text.  So I bought a Windows phone for £15 on ebay.  At least I can send a decent text message now.  It gets turned on when I need it and then turned back off not linked to anything.

Also with a burner phone and seperate Google account, having access to snapchat, kik, twitter and Facebook punting accounts opens up a whole new world especially with part-time girls.

Went down to Argos and bought a cheap dual sim android phone for £100 , with my own credit card, not the shared account

Shop by the underground for a payg sim 1 with £10 top up (all cash)
Another shop on another day for 2nd payg sim, again with £10 top up
Sim 2 stays switched off, until credit on sim 1 has expired (then destroyed)
Rotate & repeat

Burner phone , burner email, burner WhatsApp, burner punting life. Zero crossover into civvie  life

In theory that might be traceable to your credit card if the sales record includes the phone IMEI number.
Little chance of anyone trying it in real life

Offline shed

Best to pay cash for phone, Sims etc. Then not traceable.

If using android look into an app called Cloudsim

Get a dual sim phone that supports secret profiles.

On my Huawei, if you enter one code it unlocks to the main profile. If you enter another code, it unlocks to my "secret" profile. Even has a seperate IMEI number. I'm sure it's not totally foolproof, but it does at least stop me having to think of creative hiding places for my punting phone (and the associated risk of it being found).

However being a Huawei, the Chinese government probably know more about you than you know about yourself  :hi:

You have to buy a dual sim phone. Don't glue two sim cards together, it won't work.

Unless you have two separate smartphones that nearly always happens. You can get some separation with knox but it always leaks somewhere. My experience of dual sim phones even with separate users the call logs are shared.

I just use an app that supports a virtual number and have notifications off on that app.

Three PAYG SIM cards don’t expire at the end of the month.
I pay cash for a top up and it easily lasts me 2 or 3 months.

I am looking to get back into the swing of punting after a break. I bought a burner phone but hit a couple of snags. The PAYG wanted me to register with a debit card before it would allow me to access adult material on the data plan. I also found the sim deregistered itself as I didn't use it in a while. The phone is on EE (I think). Any tips to get round the above?

if you bought a "new" phone after 17Dec21 the ofcom rules state it can no longer be network locked.  try a SIM from another network and go back to seller if it's locked.

there's loads threads on PAYG Sims.  you want to avoid bundle or monthly plans, which they're all working towards it seems.
Asda 4p, three 10-10-5 are two I've used. need to make one text/call every 180 to keep active

Yes, you can downlaod Whatsapp Business and link it.
Another good thing about Hushed is you can have several number long term and as short as a week.
You can also redirect voicemail if yo want to.
It's cheaper than buying a new phone and less aggro.

This actually works. I managed to unlock a phone from 2017 that was previously "UN-unlockable" according to EE.

The problem is not that the phone is locked to a supplier, the problem is that adult content is locked unless I register the sim using a debit card.

I guess I need to look at a good free VPN. The other problem is the fact the supplier deregister the sim if it is inactive(no calls ir texts). I know they are cheap but changing sims is a ball ache.

That’s an easily dealt with situation. Assuming the punting phone is some sort of wi-if enabled smart device, because you are asking about accessing adult content on it via the sim as opposed to just text and calls as per a basic Nokia etc. Just tether the punting phone to your real life smartphone. The punting phone gets a wireless connection to your real phone and uses its data, which you’ve had the adult blocks removed on because you occasionally have a spin on the virtual roulette wheels

Have a look on Ebay for a cheap s/h one that's capable.  If it's just a punting phone then it won't be getting used as much as a normal one and you'll get a higher end one for the same price as a lesser new one.
