If there are people in this forum who go to gym a lot or work on their fitness regularly, does regular gym and fitness work aid your sex life (punting or personal)?

Has it made you any better in bed? For example, running helps with stamina but I wonder if that stamina also helps in sex. Similarly if you do strength training/body building, have you noticed it make a difference in bed too?

yes I would say it does help, Im around 15 stone at the moment, aim to lose 2 stones over 2-3 months, it losing the body fat that helps, you tone up your body, so when it comes to sex, she not having sex  with a slob

I am in the middle of a long process to lose weight and tone up. It does help with stamina , I remember being able to go through two one hour punts a day two years ago during a busy day. I've since piled on a few pounds and am slowly losing it.

As to whether sex itself is a good workout, it is if you're not on your back making the girl do all the work.

because I haven't been exercising, I have put on a few pounds, now where I have put this extra weight on doesn't help me with my sex life

The extra weight has gone on to my thighs, hips and bottoms, its made a big change in my life, which I want back

Good man, Markus; I wish I had your willpower.  I lost just over a couple of stone 2 or 3 years ago and have regained a fair bit of that.  Because I haven't got your willpower, I often follow a punt, particularly a long one, with a calory-packed meal which, of course, undoes all the good work [as far as burning calories is concerned! ;) ] the WG & I have just done.

When I used to be able to afford to see my favourite [now-retired] Regular a couple of times a week, I referred to her as "my personal fitness trainer".

Losing it is the hard part, maintaining it is fairly straight forward for me if I train a few times a week.

I am training five times a week now plus doing extra sit ups in the morning.

Most of the weight is on my stomach unfortunately. I like to think of myself as a fairly handsome guy and having this weight has made me feel slightly self-conscious. I probably sound like a bird from loose women but for me, confidence helps with the civvy birds and anything that effects i try to address.

I've cut down virtually all unnecessary sugar barring a cheeky chocolate every now and then and haven't had Nandos this year. It's hard work but I hope I can get tone up before winter sets in.

Well, I've got the Weightwatchers' recipe books, Markus; but as I said before, it's all about willpower.  I'm hopeless at portion-control.

Rochdull lad, I have a cousin who is a personal trainer who said the best way is to have five small meals a day. Requires a lot of effort as you need to make sure your meals are suited to the time of day you workout and your routine but he is built like a beast so it must work.

Five/six meals of 500-400 cals a day is ideal.  It's more efficient to eat every three hours.  Drink lots of water and tea.  Use natural metabolism boosters like green tea, almonds, ginger etc.  No need to fear carbs or fat, just have to be sensible - oats, brown rice & pasta, fish, nuts and so on.

Sit ups can actually give you a bigger belly.  Tabata will burn body fat like no other exercise.  Body weight exercises like pull ups and press ups (various) will increase upper body and tighten waist.

There's a lot to be said for yoga or pilates too.  Think Ryan Giggs.

I have let my self go, but when I was going to the gym, I could easily lose a couple of pounds per day, so basicly kept to a strict diet, and small meals

Morning, bran flakes, and orange juice
Lunch, some lettuce, cucumber, cybies, and a banana

Go to gym, late afternoon, and 1 hr on the treadmill, @ 6kmph, followed by 25 lengths in the swimming pool

Home dinner time, small piece of chicken, and veg, and by the end of the week, the weight was falling of me

As obvious as this sounds, UKP has to be the best forum out there.

Besides the obvious benefits of warning each other about B&S and dodgy service, it has other learning advantages and interesting topics.

Which other site can you learn which WG gives the best head whilst learning about fitness regimes?  :D

Kegels are supposed to increase the intensity of orgasms, and strength of erections. Never tried them myself though, so can't comment on how accurate that is.

Very true.

I have had a lot of knee and shoulder injuries when I was in my teens and 20's from sport,

i have been going to yoga classes for the last 3 years and this has helped my fitness no end.

No!!!

Tried that thinking it would make an inprovement, just felt more hungry and in need of sleep more.
I found the sit ups hurt lower back and increased my belly (as mentioned before) I ended up putting on weight!
In on old realtionship the GF used to watch me do a few press ups and then slide under me saying "if youve the energy for that you can do this!"
I`ve found Garlic, Bananas, lots of fruit n`veg and red meat has helped with gentle exercise (walking  and 100mg silagra :D ) Have to say many of the ladies I`ve seen laugh about the Popeye guys  :sarcastic: with the whey pro suplments and Tat`s

Definitely helps, for a number of reasons.

Gives you more physical stamina.
Slimmer means it's easier to adopt more adventurous positions.
May give you more confidence if you have a good body and/or not panting and sweating all over her.
Obesity/being unfit does not help erectile tumescence.

Also I think a better body might lead a prossie to give you a better service. If the roles were reversed I'd be more up for fucking a woman with a good body than a fatty. Controversial though  :bomb:

I would say it definitely helps with you performance - I used to get out of breath and knackered very quickly, often to the point that I couldn't finish, so I would try to get it over with as quickly as possible. That was about 3 years ago, and since then I've lost about 5 stone, and put on a good amount of muscle, and I'm a lot fitter and it's made a huge difference to my sex life. I no longer get out of breath and I can keep going for much longer - and yes it does make your todger look bigger (well in reality it's the fat that makes it look smaller, getting rid of it is just exposing your true size).

I've had a number of compliments from escorts, but whether it makes any difference to the service you get I doubt - I think so long as you're clean, and well behaved then there's no reason you should be treated any better for being fit and lean. If anything I think the fact that you have increased stamina may work against you.

Offline Jerboa

Obviously being more fit will help you when punting, after my recent European sex trip I could do with a little more stamina.

Offline grandaddybadman

I don't go to the gym, waste of time. And I certainly wont be going just to impress a WG. She is suppsed to impress me, I am not supposed to impress her.

There's no secret or magic formula to staying trim - diet and exercise. Diet is the main factor really for most people. I'm not sure it makes you perform better as such but it certainly makes you feel better and more energised. I had quite a lot of shit going on around 3 years ago and I was the heaviest I've ever been - not obese or owt but well overweight and for the most part marathon sessions became tedious. I went through a phase where I'd rather have a good BJ.

When things settled down and I started eating well again I got my mojo back. I do find that if I eat well and exercise regularly (I've generally always gone to the gym at least 3 times a week) I feel so much better for it - sleep better the lot

Offline Jerboa

Going to the gym or even doing something like swimming or gentle running and walking does help immeasurably, but not just for sex and punting but your day to day life. But in punting terms it helps me recover more quickly for second rounds, I'm less out of breath and can and be relaxed when having sex,you just feel overall a lot better.

I'll also second going to yoga and pilates I consider going to them a treat. Not only is my body more looser and supple. But I get to see lots of tight bodied young women bending over in front of me with see through yoga pants on and their asses up in the air.

What's not to like about those sort of views?

Does anybody go to yoga for anything other than to perve  :D

If you're in better shape, it makes punting and life in general better. A reasonable amount of exercise and a good diet is the key.

I've been doing Tabata and light jogging for the last month and I am already toning up. It helps a lot but requires discipline. I am not member of any fancy gym as they are a waste if money if you don't go at least 3 times a week.

David Lloyd recently quoted me £85 quid a month. You can buy a really good treadmill for £400.

I was browsing different types of exercise recently, and was tempted by a web page that said it could tell you the perfect exercise for an individual to lose weight and get fit. The basic message was that the perfect exercise for an individual is...the one that they stick with.  :dash:

I'm looking for a female personal trainer who gives a BJ after exercise, because I'd probably stick with that.

£85 a month? £20 a month gets me access to my local college gym with less then 2 year old stuff in it! If i push the boat out its £35 a month for all class/gym/steam room and all activity area's and i can go ass often as i like. you need to have a shop around by the sounds of it.

Best advice for finding a gym? take a tour of it around the time your planning to go and see how busy the place is, between 6-7pm you can't even swing a cat in my gym but between 8-10pm i have the whole place to myself most the time.

Offline Markus

There is one of these new no contract gyms but they only have cardio equipment.

I have already lost quite a bit of weight and toned up but the fittest I ever was came down to swimming laps every day. David Lloyd are the only gym in my area with a pool and they don't do swimming only memberships.

There is a local council pool/gym but they are messed up. Different times for kids, women, etc etc. I haven't got time to work my timetable around that shit. I need access to go anytime and would happily pay £35 just for access to a nice pool and a sauna.

The equation for losing a bit of flab & building stamina is easy, eat less & do more, fucking simple in my mind.

Haven't posted here in ages but this is a topic  I love to talk about! 100% agree. Self improvement should only be for you, no one else! Especially not a wg like myself!

I'm a gym rat, and yes improving your fitness will improve your sexual stamina..that's a no figure really. Doesn't teach good technique though!  But the real consideration is A: the improvement to your confidence, will it make YOU feel better about yourself? Or are you happy the way u are? If u are hen fuck what any one else thinks! Or B: is your health being affected? Will this improve your quality of life?

I love exercise, makes me feel good! It's one of my passions. Love helping people get into fitness. I have a sweet gym programme I can share if anyone's interested? But if not, well again as far as punting goes it doesn't matter anyway how fit you are. I can say wgs like my self care more about punters attitude.

Hahaha well said Yorkshire :D :D

Always the guys that smoke telling you cigarettes are bad for you, usually whilst having a smoke.

Trust me I've been on this path for the past month and a few years ago I did a similar intense diet and fitness regime. Gym adds guilt especially if you value money spent. A mate of mine goes to Virgin Active and spends £65 a month and he says if you can't spend it on your health, what can you spend it on?

I obviously haven't told him about punting. If I spent £65 a month on the gym, I would be an active virgin for sure.

If you are a lazy fucker then you will be pleased at the actual facts then Yorkshire, which is that exercising does absolutely fuck all to lose weight. It's a proven fact that the more calories you expend at the gym the more your appetite increases to ensure you restock on the calories burned at the gym.
Even better, eating less does fuck all because starvation is not sustainable. It is why weight watchers success as a business is based on the failure of their members to sustain weight loss.

The key is to not starve yourself, eat the right things which is pretty much anything so long as you avoid sugar and white flour. Control your blood sugar and you will control your weight.

Offline Markus

I agree with some of what you said but you can't eat anything. Most food contains salt and some sugar whether due directly or indirectly by starch.

I have a slow metabolism and as such put on weight easily and find it harder to burn off. Once I am at my ideal weight, I can resume a normal diet provided I train a few times a week. I know this because it worked for me but each to their own I guess. Like my cousin told me, five small meals a day works because you are not starving yourself.

I'm not doing anything of this for a WG. She gets paid to suck my dick regardless of my weight but in terms of stamina, it has to help.

I don't want issues with obesity at a later stage in life and moreover want to be able to buy clothes again without feeling like my stomach is trying to make a prison break. This government won't do fuckall to tackle it and think that labelling food by colours to indicate its healthiness will serve the public well. The problem is that junk food is cheap. Just as an example, Granola is about £4 for a bag normal price. I can pick up the same weight Cheerios for £1.30 in Sainsburys (not that I would eat that shit)

I think people should take their own responsibility for what they eat.  You can buy a chicken, bag of spuds and bag of frozen mixed veg - which will serve a family - for less than the price of a portion of fish and chips.  Bananas are cheaper than chocolate.  1kg of oats cost 75p in Aldi, Asda, Tesco.  Turkey mince is cheaper and better than any other.  And so on.  It's down to being informed.  Do they still teach Home Economics in school?

Offline Markus

I'm not saying all food is like that but quality food at some places costs more.

If you shop around and know what is good for you, it can be relatively affordable.  This country has a real obesity crisis and it's going to cost the government much more in obesity related illnesses through the NHS if they don't tackle it differently. What is that colour coded shit? We are not so useless we can't read. Like you need a red coloured label to tell you Ireland's pizzas are full of shit that is not good for you.

I agree regarding obesity and the cost to NHS long term.

What I don't get though is most lads these days seem to be gym boys into their protein and nutrition. Gyms are cropping up everywhere, some even open 24 hours.  Go back a decade or two and there were definitely more beer bellies at that age on display.  So I think we may have extremes in both worlds - fit and fat.
