I did have a search on this topic and couldn't find anything but was curious to know the typical differences, other than the obvious, between 1 & 2 hour punts.

I also realise this is probably difficult to generalise given the sheer range of individuals involved, but what I mean by this is I'm interested to know whether, in 2 hour punts, do people generally take longer with the same activities they'd engage in for a 1 hour punt? Or perhaps simply fit in a wider range of activities in a 2 hour punt? Is the pacing of activities between 1 & 2 hour punts different and VFM?

It's probably a lot to do with age. Being an old git I spend longer doing the same shit in a longer booking.  Having said that, I never do 2 hour bookings, either 30 minutes or 1 hour, but the same principle applies.

+1 same here. I can fit in OWO and RO and manage 2 pops in an hour but I couldn't manage 4 pops in 2 hours.

Everyone has different needs it really just comes down to that, in my first phase of punting always did 30-90 minutes after a while found I couldn't connect with a wg especially if she's not very engaging so just do shorter times now and make very rare exceptions.

Where as when I do paid civvie meets I'm spending 2 hours to half a day with them but it's a totally different dynamic to seeing traditional wg especially with them coming to my place.

I have had a few longer bookings, normally when I am travelling a distance and want to make it worth my while.

There are some considerations...

1. You will need to converse with the SP. Are you comfortable doing this? Or more importantly ....is she? 2 hours of awkward silence with occasional grunting may not be a fulfilling experience.
2. Just as you get punters who specialise in shorter bookings, you get some SPs who are the same. Are you certain she has the wish and/or the previous proof of this.
3. All the usual stuff, make sure you are clear about what you want and how you want the service to go before you book.
4. Just be sure you have your logistics all sorted. If she is delayed will it impact on your leaving time? Doubling your time also doubles the time you don't want to be disturbed. SP isn't giving you your money back because of x,y or z that means you have to go early.
5. Make sure you review!!

First booking is always 30 minutes for me, you'll get an idea whether or not a longer booking would be worthwhile with the girl in question or whether you're better off sticking to a shorter booking as some of them prefer shorter bookings to longer ones.

Always got to be wary of them 'padding out' longer bookings thereby reducing the bang for your buck that you're getting from them, unless you prefer chatting shit obviously...

As some of the others have commented you might want to do 30-60 mins the first time you meet a WG to see if there is any chemistry there. Its unlikely you'll be non-stop shagging for the whole 2 hours so if there is a language barrier or just crap chat it can get a bit awkward.

I've normally gone for an hour as standard but will do 2 hours with a girl I know, 30 mins if it's a risky punt. I'm usually a one pop bloke in an hours booking so on a 2 hour the most I'll do is twice. After that it'll be like trying to raise the dead.

Depends on a few things. What I’m after in terms of action (if its a P&D 30 minutes, if it’s BDSM 90 mins, at least) and, probably more importantly, if it’s a risky punt, by which I mean ‘this could be shit and I don’t know if we’ll connect’ - 30 minutes.

A longer booking is awful if you don’t connect (both mentally and physically i.e. you’re actually attracted to the SP).

I think I’ve done pretty well in terms of judging it. The only mistake I’ve made was with a civie where I arranged for her to stay overnight in my hotel. I seem to need quite a lot of "recovery time" so no chance of a.round 2 in a 1 hour booking for me.if I'm feeling horny and think I want to go more than once I always book 2 or more hours.

I use to now and again book two hours years back but more often than not I was looking to leave well before the times up. There was also a lot of down time chatting, although not always. I remember booking Super Sexy Samantha (as she was known then. I think she only does massages now) for two hours and she was pretty much on me the whole time.

I'm one shot these days, so 30 mins is normally ample time - but I'll sometimes take 1 hour if I have a "connection" with the SP.  Particularily if they are capable of doing a decent massage either before or afterwards.

And as someone mentioned before it's about the dynamics and chemistry you have with the WG. But more importantly you have to ask yourself what you're hoping to achieve from your punt (apart from the obvious). For some it may be to satisfy that manly urge, for others it could be to experiment with different girls/positions/toys etc. and for some it's to have a chat & perhaps build a connection.

Your objective should outline how long you spend with the WG.
