Author Topic: Do you ask about location?  (Read 1482 times)

Offline gthunter

I'm wondering, when you contact a girl, do you ask about location?
I mean, after I lived many years in my city, I know a huge amount of people so, when I want to punt, I always ask before for location, even if it is not the proper one, but I need to understand if the place is suitable for me.
It happens that they refuse to do that if I don't book before, is it normal?
Should I book and then refuse?
There are places not suitable during the day, others are not suitable at all, how I can book anything if I have no idea where I'm going?

What's your opinion?

Thanks

Ask for the postcode, it usually works.

Offline Fuzzyduck

I would find it odd that a punter wouldn't ask that question.

There are lots of reason why you need to know whether the punt will be (is it convenient, do I know anyone who lives/works nearby, what's the parking like, have I been there before and had a good/bad experience, it is a safe part of town...?). If the girl/her pimp refuses to at least give you the post code or road, then I wouldn't bother taking it further.

Offline threechilliman

For me location is critical to determine whether a punt is viable in the time I have.

It depends how you ask them, as long as you're just asking for a very rough location I wouldn't think there should be a problem.  There's quite a few weirdos, time wasters and address collectors around so they'll be reluctant to give out too much detailed information without good reason.

Offline gthunter

Postcode or small area (like nearby the station or Uni or supermarket) would be fine. Yesterday I've been told by a very good reviewed one that she gives it after booking.

Of course I ask about location and ideally want the first part of the WGs postcode which most WGs give me, sometimes by text.

Exactly, on the rare occassion that time and money coincide these days it is vital to know where I'm going as it may not be possible and then my time and her's is wasted

Depends on the WG in my experience, many EE WGs give the full postcode and road name immediately I have found, and this is sometimes at enquiring stage not just booking stage.

How can you not need to know a close location before booking? Parking, distance from station, bus routes or if you can walk need to be considered first surely.

Yeah it's a major reason why I mainly parlour punt instead of using Indi's as I can easily plan my way to a parlour if the postcode is on their website.

Can't stand the "make a booking" before getting the postcode shit as i've had it before where the postcode comes through too late or leaving me rushing to get there in an hour or two.
I want the postcode well in advance so that I can take a look at the area on Google maps including street view and work out how long it's going to take to get there plus where to park and whether to punt the girl if the area is a shithole with boarded up windows etc.
Gives me time to get the info in the sat nav and also look at the post office's postcode finder which narrows the code down to around 40 addresses instead of my sat nav asking for a house number between 1 and 1000, had to guess a number once and ended up 2 miles away  :scare:

On the profile page, go to More options, view a map of where xxx lives, done, this opens up Google maps, look for postcode at the top.

It's a good tool but even that sometimes isn't enough. Out in the sticks, a postcode could cover a massive area. Some are an hours drive, or more, from one side of a postcode to the other.

That relies on the escort putting the correct first half of the postcode in which quite often they don't. I've seen loads put NE1 which is Newcastle city centre when they're actually based in Gateshead, the other side of the river and anything up to 5 miles away.

As an aside, if you google the first part of a postcode the map highlights the area it covers so gives you an idea of how large the area is.

Seems a lot like to plan well in advance so fair enough.

My normal way is to use AW to get a rough idea of location and take if from there and not to bothered about the finer details, so say if for example I know the wg is in the city center then parking ect going to need some extra time.

Kinda adds to the fun not knowing every detail before hand although that can lead to a few fuck up's granted!

Offline Hungarian Lover

I only ever punt in 2 cities  when I arrive at one of them I text the girl and ask for a postcode which they normally provide, I then use my I.phone maps to get me to the location which most times is very close to the house where I ask for the house number.

Offline poundstock

By choice I sometimes travel long distances by public transport to see a WG. When I step outside the railway station a post code is useless. I need a street name and preferably a landmark to be provided at the time of the booking. This gives me a chance to look at maps and plot my route. If this information is not forthcoming I respect her choice and move on. Might be different if I was travelling by car with satnav.

? why is a postcode useless. Google maps and follow the walking instructions  :unknown:

i usually say i'm visiting, or passing through, and as such could do with a rough idea of if i could make it to them, thus a post code would be handy so i can work out if it's possible for me to visit

There's some big postcode areas up here in south and north yorkshire that can take that long in traffic/roadworks to get through.

That is correct however in small towns one postcode might only cover a handful of properties, or be even more specific.

for places like oxford, it's vital, because if you commit to one that's the wrong side of town, it might cost you 45 minutes travel time wedged in pointless traffic cause the local council hates cars and won't build suitable roads, and/or it ends up costing you a fucking fortune to park, that's if you can even find somewhere to park that doesn't involve parking fucking miles away and using a bus to get nowhere near where your final destination is, then having to walk loads to get to your punt, by which time, i'd be fucked off and want to go home!

From east to west in the first four letters/numbers in my area is about 5 miles and about 2 - 3 miles North to South, so pretty useless without at least the next number.

Yes I would want to know roughly where they were, to get an idea of the area.

Haven’t got Google maps.
Use apple maps, built in to your iPhone, that works with postcodes  :unknown:

As someone who uses postcodes a lot at work, I have seen postcodes which have only one address linked  :hi:

When i said ask for the post code, I meant ask for the complete postcode, I doubt many service providers live out in the wilds.

I'm wondering, when you contact a girl, do you ask about location?

Yes all the time, but explain, I'm not looking for her street, but  near by street, so I can plan how to get there, and most times, the escorts provide me with a location

So if I was seeing Maria Massage in Glasgow, she has given me the street location of high Street, and once there she text me her street, which was a 5 min walk

Offline myothernameis

Check the escorts pictures, sometimes there not to savvy, as picture taken next to window, and you can work out where they are

I’m on foot or public transport. Sometimes a postcode will work, sometimes not. A street name with a landmark always works. If I need to ask for directions when leaving the railway station giving out a postcode is unlikely to get me a sensible answer.

I use postcodes with public transport. I look up the postcode while at home and plan my journey accordingly. It's quite simple really.

If that works for you well done. Before I leave home I want a stress free journey knowing exactly where I’m going. I’m not asking for a house or flat number but certainly closer proximity than a postcode.

Exactly this.  I ask politely and explain why I need to know the level of detail I'm asking for.  If they insist on being coy about it, I move on.  Don't have a problem with it very often.

I politely ask for an indication of the approximate area, explaining that it is to help me plan the punt. Almost invariably I am given a postcode or the name of an easily identifiable area. I cannot recall this ever being refused.

Don't give up to soon would be my advice if its a girl you're keen to see. Sometimes you have to iterate towards the information you need.
