There aren't really any I'd like to see who are that nearby.  I've come across some on AW who are in my postcode but none of them are my type, although there are a couple who are close by where I work.  I presume you're talking about the possibility of bumping into them in real life or having to walk past their flat every day?  The only problem I could see is if you told them where you live, which I wouldn't do - at least I wouldn't be specific about it.  If there was someone I was keen enough to see and they worked down the road I don't see why I wouldn't go see them - the only problem is that one might get a bit addicted if it's that easy!

Personally I don't punt close to home, but then again there is bugger all about close to home.

Depends on how you feel about potentially bumping into a wg you've seen or being spotted going into her place. Being of the married with kids variety I would choose to avoid those situations as much as possible.

A wg I saw a couple of times, about 45 mins drive away, moved to the same town as I live in. I knew she had kids about the same age as mine because she told me all about them (I kept quiet about mine and she soon shut up once wood was achieved for round 2). The thought of bumping into her in the playground at either end of the school day certainly didn't appeal so I didn't see her again.

My regular lady lives only five miles away from me in South-East London and I have been seeing her since March 2012.

It takes me twenty minutes to get to her flat by car but, as I am nearly seventy one and have an "old fart's free pass", I invariably go by train. This takes about the same amount of time, as we both live in very close proximity to our respective stations and I have a five minute walk at her end.

I do see her from time to time in our local Superstore and, very occasionally, on the trains to and from London. We have an agreement not to show any sign of recognition and, to date, that has been set in stone and has worked.

She is happily married and I have met her husband on a number of occasions. He and I get on well: he always makes me most welcome and occasionally we all enjoy a cup of tea (after the "business" is out of the way).

I am not married, never have been and have no family. Also, I live alone, so it wouldn't matter if my activities were ever exposed as I have nothing whatever to lose. Neither has she, if it comes to that: but we prefer anonymity.

I do not regard myself as defecating on my own threshold but I certainly do NOT recommend my course of action to others who are vulnerable.

It depends whether you're living with a wife/partner at home with you, in which case definitely not, or whether you live alone in which case do what you like as that's an advantage of being single.  I have just a couple of times in my life seen a WG outside that I'd been with, once on a bus in London, once in a supermarket nearer home.  I was by myself and both times they were totally discreet.
