I guess it will be a double-edged sword as far as AW and VS are concerned. On one hand it’s good for business, on the other they don’t want the interference from Mumsnetters and MPs with time on their hands.
When yocals get a bee in their bonnet about something it can just niggle them, even if in the scheme of things it is really unimportant.

Many years ago before I started punting I rented a flat in South London and one of the residents approached me to ask me to get involved with getting an escort removed from a flat in an ajoining block. I declined, pointing out that she would be better off putting effort into sorting out the parking, especially one particular white van that always blocked 3 spaces. ‘Get that useless t*wat sorted’ I advised. The useless twat was her husband, and she went off in a huff. Van started parking properly, no idea about the escort, never heard anymore.
