Thats a good idea but arrived too late, will do next time...
There's a poster in the gents describing how to do a rectal swab on yourself. I hesitate to ask this forum but what on earth will it pick up that the other tests don't?
Here is a couple
Shigella
Shigella is caused by bacteria found in faeces (shit). Only a tiny amount needs to get into your mouth to pass it on (eg, via your fingers).
It’s often caused by contaminated food but it can also be passed on sexually.
Sex that may involve contact with faeces is a risk eg, anal sex, fisting, handling a condom or sex toy used for anal sex, oral sex, touching someone’s backside or rimming.
Someone with shigella can be infectious for up to a month.
Genital warts
small fleshy growths, bumps or skin changes anywhere on the genitals or around the anus or on the upper thighs.
During sex HPV is passed on when someone’s skin touches another person’s warts (which you won’t see if they’re inside the rectum or vagina).
As well as through penetrative sex, HPV can be passed on through genital contact, sharing sex toys and through oral sex.
