Should vivastreet be avoided?

Greetings punters

Been looking at a few ladies recently on all the usual places AW, here, agencies but I've also seen a couple that look stunning on Vivastreet.

The problem I have is I have had some terrible experiences on vivastreet in the past with heavily photoshopped pics, poor service, bait and switch etc. so am very cautious to use it again. Granted that was a while ago.

So the question is can I trust vivastreet for a good punt or should I avoid?

You could say the same about AW, there is no site guaranteed to be honest and reliable, step forward boldly, but with reservations and a cunning plan B up your sleeve.

I would take AW more seriously than vivastreet. Especially with Asians on vivastreet, where you should expect a bait and switch. Otherwise I think vivastreet is a bigger risk so don't set your expectations too high.

10% of Asian pictures are of "normal" looking ladies, what you see is what you'll get with occasionally some B&S.

90% of the pictures look like "young models" ..... and that's exactly what they are ..... you've got absolutely no chance of seeing them because they live 5,000 miles and have no idea their pictures are being used here. You can't call that B&S .... that is just dumb punters who live in a fantasy world.

I haven't done any scientific analysis, the point being it's quite easy to tell "at a glance" whether the pictures are possibly real or definitely fake.

Whether it's 10:90 or 1:99 is immaterial. It just amazes me how many times I read posts where the poster really believes he's going to meet one of the "cuties" he sees in the adverts .... he won't ..... they're fake, fake, fake.

Without being pedantic I think the stats does matter. For instance, many of the Latin WGs do exist and at one point in time there was a reliable advertiser who you knew whose profiles and pics would be genuine. I cannot say that for the Asian profiles.

Anybody looking at an Asian profile on VS must accept it is a given that those pics are false.

Agreed on the B&S with Orientals. They're notorious for it. And, yes, it can be very obvious that they're using fake pics.

VS is dire, but is it better on AW? I usually don't bother with Orientals, unless they have glowing reviews here on UKP.

Some of them can be quite pretty, in a girl next door way, so why they do it is a mystery to me

Agree it is totally immaterial.
If you're a complete nonce heading to a VS ad for an Oriental honey expecting to meet what you see then you deserve every disappointment and lack of emission that you get.  The Chinese (incl. N Korean, "Japanese") SP marketing ploy is over a decade old, pre-dating VS, it serves the punter who's after the services not the window dressing.  Thais are more showy as their culture seems to be more accepting (less hostile) to SPs so their ads will likely feature the woman you meet BUT increasingly so heavily photoshopped that it might as well be a B&S.
Any UKPer who has paid attention to what's been said and found about Orientals here on this site should have ZERO illusions about playing in that part of the market.
Latinas and "Romanians" (incl Albanians, Bulgarians) also need to be played cautiously regardless of what site they're listed on.

The fact that VS (and other classified sites) don't vet their advertisers as much as AW (note I don't say thoroughly) just means that it's more accessible to amateurs, low-rent operators (whatever their motives and commitment to serve) and desperates.  Any smart punter will exert the appropriate caution and expectation when trying SPs on these sites.  It's the difference between poker players and slot machine yankers in a casino.

Given the decline in looks, services and VFM as well as the number of SPs I'm using more sites now to find prospects to take a punt on not less.
