Being a remarkable change, thought it deserve a thread of its own.

Wonder if any punters are tempted to try it now that you don’t need a prescription.

Offline hungrypunt

I used to get mine from dr fox online, just a short online form to fill and and your done.

Offline willie loman

Sidenafil is exactly the same as Viagra, just different name? anyway one thing is for sure the price is going to stay low.

Well that defeats the purpose then.

Nothing changed then really and it said something about visiting your GP too within 6 months about medical staff, you must see your GP or not I don't know :unknown: I would think that buying over the counter and without prescription would be the same as just buying a supplement from Holland and Barretts. :dash:

You are not buying over the counter like a bag of sweets. You still would need to answer several questions and depending on your answers, you'd be "approved" and allowed to buy the tablets

I think this as much a business/marketing move by Pfizer, makers of Viagra as anything else. They applied for and have the license to produce "Viagra Connect", the pharmacist (P) version of Viagra. They have signed an exclusive deal with Boots for the first fortnight which was controversial with independent pharmacies. 50mg only, not so good value as compared to 100mg split in half. Still may help some people.

Offline munterhunter

It's a question of licensing. Viagra is a prescription drug and should NOT be prescribed to people with certain conditions or who are taking some medications because of increased risk from side effects. Since their patent on viagra lapsed in 2013 Pfizer have seen a dramatic decline in viagra sales because of cheaper generic alternatives. My local Lloyds pharmacy charges £9 for a box of 4 100mg sidenefil tablets on private prescription (which my GP writes for free) and £28 for a box of 4 Pfizer 100mg Viagra. This will reflect the wholesale price charged by Pfizer.
I think what Pfizer has done is get the standard dose (50mg) deregulated for general sale by a qualified pharmacist where you do not need a prescription BUT where the pharmacist has to ensure that it is appropriate to supply you. It will be interesting to see what the over the counter price will be abd whether the companies who manufacture generics will follow suit.

Offline revoltra

It won't change anyway. It's not like it has been that difficult in obtaining them anyway. You can order them on Superdrugs after completing a short questionaire and then collect them from the branch 3 hours later.

You  can just walk into an ASDA pharmacy, have a 10 minute chat with the pharmacist, and leave with the goods. Many a time l have been given "genuine"  Viagra as they did not have any generic sildenafil in stock.

Hah is that how it work? I always get them done online and collect at the shop. I might do a walk in sometimes as the local superdrugs has this hot blonde working at the counter..... actually second thought, might not be a bright idea to talk to a fit woman about i need to buy some blue pills :D

Offline sublimetoridiculous

At my local Asda it's often a female pharmacist. They usually say "would you prefer to talk to a man" but I've always declined.

It is weird to talk to a woman about how hard your cock doesn't get, with their faces giving away absolutely nothing.

Simples! walk in, ask for  a private consultation with the pharmacist. Get shown into the private room, go through the onscreen questions. Wait a minute or two at the counter, pay the fee, collect the goods. Leave.

They dont check ID or anything, so you could use a false name/ address. The system does check postcodes so make sure its correct.

They ask if you want your GP notifiying. You can always say no thanks.

its a rip off at those prices  which is more than  double what it costs online for sildenafil ..

Asda use an on-line prescription service Dr Fox only certain pharmacists can log on to Dr Fox to get the prescription. This may change from April 2nd when you can get the 50mg pills from the pharmacy without the need for a prescription but you still need to complete a questionaire I understand.

Nonsense! They do an on-screen questionnaire, after which they dispense the sildenafil. I've read the pharmacist's guidance notes (he left the room and they were just lying there) Dr Fox doesn't come into it at all. Some of the locum pharmacists cannot dispense, but that's usually because they aren't ASDA staff and haven't done the in house authorisation.

Of course, you have to answer questions if you buy online from Dr Fox, you don’t have to tell the truth though.   :hi:

What are the side effects of using Viagra Connect with normal use(maximum 1 pills per day or week)? Any experience?

Can someone be more explicit about the questionnaire or pharmacists questions?

What questions are asked?

I take it none of you online buyers really have a proper medical erectile disfuction?  What are the correct answers then?

I don't need it but have used it in the past to run on all night. Used to get generic stuff off a mate in the porn film business. Now Dr. Fox is good the questions require obvious answers to get your hands on it. Regard them as a formality.

I used Uprima when it was on the go, due to being a wimp as tablets would stick in my throat. These things would melt in the mouth, 20 mins later way you go. Not sure why the manufacturer stopped making them.

Suppose I could check the internet why, and see any equivalent. No matter what, whether it is Viagara or any alternatives, way better than going down the Popper route, I imagine.

Offline hmscossack

I buy my Viagra from Med Express - very reliable , and above all , discreet packaging , that DOES NOT show what is inside !
It is recommended - easy to use - and your credit card details are safe and secure

About two years ago, after giving my doctor a 'sob' story about my wife only allowing me to have sex, well use her as a warm wank (absolutely no participation, complete with eyes closed and ear pieces in listening to the radio),which he must have heard a hundred times before...anyway that plus a low but not too low Testosterone blood test..he prescribed Sildenfil and put it on a regular prescription.
I find that it only sometimes works, and I've played with the dosages, and it gives me a bloody awful headache....so the headache plus the regular average to shit punt is such that I don't use it.
I'm off today to see an old (as in long time) Wg today, not on AW she does looks after old regulars....and she reckons that by tying up my cock and ball,a la Cock ring will do the trick.
So if that works...I've got a supply of Sildenfil that could be open to negotiation...and I do know the law you trolls.

You can get sildenafil in a fruit flavoured gel - no problem with swallowing a pill.
