It's quite a long time since I punted in the conventional sense - not since discovering the 'joys' of SA.
However, when I did use AW etc I found ift quite exciting to discover a profile with pictures resembling someone known in civvy life and I'd deliberately book them as a kind of proxy for shagging the 'real' one. Typically the kinds of scenarios already mentioned - a work colleague, friend's wife, daughter etc.
Generally quite safe in that context with little real chance of it turning out to be the person you actually know - location etc can ensure that.
I've found it more risky on SA, where often I'm hunting close to home or where women I know are likely to be. So I've tended not to pursue it actively. There was one occasion when I found myself exchanging messages with a girl who turned out to be the daughter of a former work colleague, whom I had met previously at various social events. I didn't register it from her pretty discreet profile photos, but once she got onto sending more candid one she on WA prior to arrangingto meet, the penny dropped that there was a very strong resemblance and a few carefully worded questions elicited confirmatory information. As the gentlemen of the press used to say when reporting a brothel bust, I made my excuses and left it at that.......
