Anyone Else Cancelling?

So, I had an hour session booked for late Friday afternoon this week. But have cancelled it.

My reasoning is mainly to do with generally increased prices and lack of choice. I understand supply and demand, but generally I can’t be arsed to spunk a load of extra cash especially in the knowledge service quality won’t have improved with the price increase. No direct issues with the lady concerned, so I won’t name her as it’s not fair.

What pushed me over the edge and prompted the cancellation is the growing concerns in the media around Covid 19 levels.

Anyone else feeling like this or just me?

The only reason they went down is because everyone was staying away from each other.  They then lifted the lockdown and we started getting nearer to each other again.  Levels were always going to rise.  That's why just after lockdown was probably the best time to shag and for escorts to be making money to help them get through the winter.  I think the government has expected this to happen and has encouraged people to get out to see family and friends as they are expecting winter to be tough with higher levels of infection combined with other viruses such as the flu and worse weather which may cause the sick to have breathing problems. There may well be more local lockdowns over the winter.  The vaccines should arrive around April and life will become more normal once again.

Personally I wouldnt cancel except over pricing issues,I am a bit of a skinflint, but if you dont feel safe over COVID reasons you shouldnt go as you will be worried and you wont enjoy the punt anyway.Some have tried to edge back in gradually with a massage/happy ending type of punt,its all about confidence.

It's not just Covid that is putting me off at the moment, or at least not in itself. It's just a contributing factor. Price on its own isn't a put off, I can afford the asking prices. Just being able to afford and wanting to afford are different things. Chuck the rising virus into the mix and I'm thinking I'm probably out again for a while.

I think you've nailed it on the head there for me.. It's actually the lack of choice!  There used to be a plethora or young and sexy (in there own way) women on AW, and now it feels stale.  Perhaps the loss of university students for a period of time has impacted this, or perhaps there is some other reason, but for me there is just a lack of general talent which stems my interest.  For the right woman, I'm sure we'd all spend the right amount of money, of which varies from person to person, but the fact there is no talent grabbing us by the balls speaks for itself

I have not cancelled any meets yet, but then only had a couple of carefully planned 1 to 1s ones so far.

I was out and about yesterday and tried to arrange a short notice meet with an SP I have seen a couple of times before as I was close to her area and she has a reasonable, clean flat. Also I know she has stopped offering DFK and kept her prices reasonable for all other services, rather than bumping them up.

Unfortunately I got no answer so did not scratch the itch. So this morning I started thinking about a first meeting this afternoon with a new to my area Polish mature. Even got the timing planned to avoid the parking restrictions in the street!

But by lunchtime my urge had gone off the boil and I stayed at home. Six months ago I would have probably seen it through and be doing the review now. But fear of catching Covid does frighten me for a number of reasons and I know I need to practice abstinence more.

When I can't resist the urge, and I have the opportunity, then I am going to concentrate on seeing girls/ladies from my pool of regulars to be sure of getting the services I want in a reasonably safe environment.

I maybe in a minority here but I disagree. Did she put the price up after the OP booked or was it that he just changed his mind? If the former, then fair enough. But if not, if he just changed his mind, I don't think that is right. Depends on how much notice he gave her. If it was the other way round, that she cancelled because she suddendly thought the agreed price was too little, we would all rightfully have a go at her and maybe she would get a negative review out of it. But beacuse its us guys doing it, its Ok?

My view - if anyone is that afraid of covid, then stay home and don't punt! Not saying you would be wrong to do that - we each make decisions that feel right for us!

The OP has stated it isn't just the price, it's COVID as well. I think it's fair enough him cancelling, no good going into a punt with niggling little concerns. Like you say if worried don't punt.

He has already cancelled the booking so he has given almost 3 full days notice, quite reasonable in my view. An escort wouldn't get a negative from me if I were given that amount of notice of her cancelling.

Well it's the sheer unpredictability of Covid19 that's putting me off. At the back end of last week, I was trawling through some local AW Profiles and quite looking forward to having my first punt since December.

Then the local incidence per 100,000 of population started going up quite alarmingly in some local boroughs so that as of this evening, Greater Manchester and South East Lancashire seems to have more than half the top 10 places in the League of Widespread Covid19.

Suddenly, the odds seem to have altered against me, so I've decided to keep mini-me in my trousers and my folding money in my wallet until, probably, an anti-Covid19 vaccine's been approved.

Covid 19 has put such a damper on life in general that I am sick of it. Don't get me wrong, I mitigate and research as much as I can but life is just too short to go back to lockdown.

As for prices, yes some have upped their prices but many haven't plus you can always shorten the duration.

I agree.  After watching tonight's BBC news it sounds like the situation is rapidly getting worse. I'll make a decision about a week before the booking, so I ensure I give the SP plenty of notice if I decide to cancel.  I hate cancelling, but sometimes it's the best thing to do for all parties.

Having accepted with deep regret that the risks engendered by Covid are too great for me to  punt I now dread encountering a profile that I would once have deemed irresistible.

I empathize with you, WASA; there were one or two SPs on my recent trawl who, in more 'normal' times I'd have booked without a qualm. But, given: the way that the graphs all seeing to be going up; and that I live in one of the areas in the North of England where more severe lockdowns are being imposed, I shan't be booking anybody for the foreseeable future.

Yeah prices are crazy at the moment, used to be 15 minutes for £40 or £50 at a push. Now the usual is £60. Luckily spent lockdown training the wife very gradually to do more than she usually likes to. She used to only bob up and down on the head during oral and now she is going deep. Splatted on her face for the first time a couple of days ago and that was always a big no no! To be honest its going to be hard to trust a vaccine that is being rushed through. Personally i wont be taking it.

I defer to any superior knowledge the Doc will offer in the coming days, luv2, but from what I gleaned from the news bulletins yesterday, I got the impression that they aren't "rushing through" the vaccine that Oxford University & Astra Zenica are working on.

Afaik, it's having to go through all the usual trial procedures that any new medication has to go through before being unleashed on us, albeit these are being carried out more urgently because of the effect of CV19.

And it's presently being held up simply because one of the trial group has had some sort of unusual reaction, which may, or may not be, specifically to the vaccine.

I gave her 3 working days notice, she was absolutely fine about cancelling.

As I said, it wasn’t the price alone that put me off. I knew what she charged when I booked her and I can very easily afford it. However, it was a potential lack of value\quality of service given the rate charged that was a factor in cancelling. What tipped it for me was the rising Covid figures.

I think depth of options has been limited for the last few years. There are very very few "superstars" anymore and the fewer there are the less likely I am to see them.

I have had a punt, but the 14 days of worry and anxiety after the booking, takes all the good away. And I am younger than a lot of people on here, and I will factor this into my thoughts before I attempt, another booking, which I don't think will be in the foreseeable future.
