Author Topic: Reverse bid morons  (Read 1046 times)

Is it just me or do escorts just not seem to understand anymore how reverse bids are supposed to work?  I've had good success with RBs in the past, but that's years back now. I've only started punting again after a long break and now all I'm getting are bids from people who clearly can't be bothered to read.
I include right up front in all my RB's some text along the lines of "Read the entire RB and ensure you meet all my requirements before bidding".
I typically put a low starting rate of something like £75ph - but I'm looking for a pretty extensive and specific list of services including anal, rimming and BDSM so obviously I don't expect anyone to go in at £75ph.
But then - they ALL do. And when I follow up with a message just confirming they really are up for everything on my list they reply "oh no, I don't do THAT!!"
Today this cheeky cow had the nerve to bid at my asking rate of £150 for 2hrs, but then when I followed up I not only got the usual "oh no, I don't EVER do THAT" (rimming), she then went on to say my RB was insulting as it was too low!  Despite having just bid on it.    :dash:
And of course, despite saying she doesn't EVER do rimming she then said at a higher price "I would do everything you've asked" and finished with - "I do not see any possibility of us meeting until you're ready to up the price BY A LOT lol".
She obviously has no idea how RB's work.
If you don't do what's on the RB then don't bid!
If you don't like the suggested price - well, put the price you will do it for! It's not rocket science!!!  :dash: :dash: :dash:
Anyone else having the same issues with RB's these days?  Has it gotten worse or am I just imagining it and getting crusty in my old age?

Oh and just take a look at her - I had also specifically said in my RB "maximum dress size 12 - no BBW's!".

Doesnt cost them to bid on RB, so why not. Not saying it is right, but thats the mindset of a lot of WGs RBs. Just need to sort out the garbage.

Also to put a RB at that low rate, Im not surprised you get garbage.

As I understand it £75ph is the default search criteria, and the idea is to grab a bargain so raising it isn't ideal. I've certainly met some amazing ladies who became regulars that way in the past - and none of them bid at £75ph so they certainly knew how the basic mechanics of the RB worked!
But yeah, maybe IQ's have dropped since then and it will just take some extra effort to clear them out.   :unknown:

When placing a reverse bid, maybe put the following

If you reply to this reverse bid, you enter into a contract by entering your details

Interesting...might be worth a try. Certainly something a bit more formal like:
"By bidding you are entering into a binding contract to perform all of the below services exactly as laid out at the rate you have bid."

That might discourage casual bidding.

I wonder if a court would uphold a breach of contract if they then failed to adhere to this.

We should consult the UK Punting Legal Department.

I also have come across a load of morons on reverse bids.

Some bidding higher than the price offered. Others saying they are not available on the bid date (clearly using it as advertising in the hope of getting a booking in the future). Others asking for a deposit. Some have a template message they use each time and clearly don’t read the bid requirements.

I also tried a bid for a duo (FF) recently. Responses came from some single female escorts and didn’t know what I meant when I asked who they duo with.  :dash:

Has definitely got worse recently.

There is a fine line with this as some will see your use of the "default" rate as an opportunity to just bid their usual as well. i find RBs useful to tease out providers who I wouldn't usually make first contact with at their base rates but are willing to flex their pricing either on the basis of my request or its slow or just fits with their day etc. A larger proportion of these are usually part-timers but thats ok by me.

I think at least two providers I've seen before would be minded to bid their default if I put it at £75 but would frequently match my requests for £50 less than their usual rate even before I saw them. (They were the good kind of serial bidders)

I don't think nonsense with RBs will ever go away so if you've an extensive list of requirements, probably worth an experiment of firing one out at a higher rate to see what you catch.

At least it's not just me.

I suppose one argument is that there has been an influx of new "escorts" who turned to the game because of Covid and really haven't bothered to look into how AW works.  When I was punting way back escorts tended to be much more professional and switched on.

I wouldn't mind someone bidding their default rate if it was actually someone interesting that I might not have picked up otherwise. I have pretty strict search criteria I use for services, and sometimes an RB will pick up someone willing to do those services but not wanting to advertise them widely, which is fine. But so far all I seem to be getting is people who think my suggested rate is the rate and that's that!

Maybe I could also benefit from explaining how this works in my RB!! IE - "your best price for the following services - nearest to my guide price wins" or something.

I'll definitely have to try a few experiments since so far I'm getting zero, zilch, zip, nada, niente!
