The punting distance thread made me think to ask the following question:
do fellow punter get checked in their local STI clinic or further away from your local area??

Personally after my experience as describe in https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=68743.0 I keep everything as far away from I live.

Don't want to make the rookie mistakes the guy in Dr Foster TV show did!  :D

Well a full checkup at an NHS gum with blood tests etc can eat away the hours, so you may either want to keep it local or come up with a damn good excuse as to why you have disappeared for half a day. The private clinics of course are faster but tbh why throw away good (punting) money?
The NHS gums are also probably more knowledgable and better equipped as they have such a large throughput.
If you meet someone you know there so what? He/She is there too.... ;)

I guess after a brief awkwardness it should be ok and also assuring to know she is getting checked up.
I just go to another NHS clinic which not close to where I live.
