"We've made three arrests after concerns were raised about a flat in Cambridge being used as a suspected brothel.

The work by officers in the city last night (7 November) followed a call just before 9pm raising concerns that girls at the address could be being exploited. Officers visited the address and arrested three people at the scene.

A 39-year-old man from Sawston, a 51-year-old woman from Cambridge and a 42-year-old woman of no known address were arrested on suspicion of causing or inciting prostitution for gain. All three remain in custody at Parkside Police Station."

The rozzers in Cambridge are always raiding one brothel or another.  Cromwell Road was raided just after I'd been there.  They'd been watching it for weeks.

IME most girls are here of their own free will to earn more money than they could ever dream of back home though.

If it's the well known places, then it would be the latter. The many ladies I've met are here of their own free will, happy and earning a lot of money which they will use either to support their family, invest, or buy a property when they return home. They are not locked away, but free to leave at any time, they will typically take a holiday and sight-see, and will return home within 3-6 months without overstaying the allotted time on their visas.

It could be more that they were seen as a nuisance by nosey neighbors, which seems to be the most cause.

"A witness said they saw two young girls around the property who could be being exploited". Bullocks. The place near Icland has never had a lady under 40 years old, and some of their ladies look like grandmothers (55+ years old). They are either looking at a Romanian place, or went there under an incorrect tip.

Anyone tried their number?, my poxy punting phone took a dive the other week when i was getting out of the car right down a metal gully into the drain, no real chance of getting it out;!

The girl i saw there the other week wasnt that old maybe late *20's but seemed very happy and had as much a good time as i did!

Possibly neighbours or the office they connect onto, or they might have decided that to many girls worked there at the same time?

I can't think they were anymore "bother" that the infamous Crommwel road dive of a couple of years ago:?

FWIW saw a visiting lady a couple of weeks back and she said that the police called her to make sure she was OK and wasnt in any bother or being exploited by anyone, she said that she told them she was not they gave her a few leaflets and contact numbers and went on their way!.

* Bearing in mind that some Asian ladies look younger then their actual years that is!.

Well the Cherry flowers one is up Histon road BUT thats on the border of the Castle ward and the Arbury so it could be the one.

It might actually have been one of the Romanian places... in fact, the only place I ever reported was around there, where they had really did have young (and unhappy) girls in their early 20's/late teens.
