Well naturally i'm going to nominate Blackpool, given the size and population (I believe it's the most populated town in Lancashire or highest population density) there is fuck all worth punting.

Thank god Preston isn't too far away and Manchester / Bury is achievable with a 100 mile round trip but even those parlours are on the decline

It's pretty poor, and also very remote. Nearest decent place is 60 miles away, and because it's remote the (good) tourers don't visit.

Nothing good within a stones throw of Carlisle.

Maybe not great given the size of the area, but a darn sight better than Derby. Not sure how it stacks up compared to Nottingham. As you mention some good parlours pre lockdown.
